I heard a rumor that the tailgating lots are already sold out

Already see a few on Stub Hub for double the price+Not a rumor. All lots for tailgate are sold out and garages are also going fast. Parking is a premium in that area. Get them unless you want to walk for a couple miles.

Well, as far as I know there are still non season tix lots, #3,4,5, the Fig Pad, and lots of smaller lots in the area. The Parking structures at USC still show 4 lots with openings. And If I were guessing, I'm sure all season tix holders have now had a shot.
