My cousins Son is David Canales. It has no doubt been a tough year for David taking over a squad with a psychologically damaged QB from last years draft, but I admire the way the team is playing for lately, and he might get something out of Bryce yet. Today, his team did the Rams a solid by beating the Cardinals. I hope he gets another year to keep the improvements coming for his team. Proud of you David, and thank you for beating one of our division rivals!

Real men of Genius.

Today we salute you David. Cousin's son of Random Internet fan poster.

This fan may not have updated his Ram Avatar in 20 years, but he sees your work with a physiologically damaged NFL QB and the work you do, and we all recognize that hard work.

So crack open a cold Budweiser Mr. Cousins son to internet poster, then crack open another one for coaching one of your final games of the 2nd worst team in the NFL, By beating the Cardinals, we will all sleep better tonight.

Congrats on a member of your family being a HC in the NFL. Not an easy accomplishment.

It was great to see the Panthers take out the Cards yesterday. That said, I think Canales is in a tough spot. I see Bryce as a poor man's Kyler. And I'm no Kyler fan.

That's awesome! Bet he has some awesome stories and no doubt, he did us a favor! I was watching as nervously as I do the Rams in a close game.

Thought for sure when AZ drilled the 58yd FG to force OT that it was over.

But the Panthers absolutely played their asses off!

It was the battle of the psychologically damaged QBs! Kyler is still damaged, sulking on the sidelines after that final sack. Somebody hand the little guy his xbox.

Back in the olden days, when you were sick, you would get a haircut.
In the old days being sick meant you didn't feel well. Then it became mental problems. Now saying someone or something is sick is a compliment.

When I was a kid, *everyone* (mid '70's)was saying "bad" as meaning good, cool, etc. It's similar to "sick" today. In later years people were saying "bad assed."

The AZ Sports guys are on suicide watch at this point I think...

They're f*cked. Kyler is paid like a franchise guy but he isn't.

Finally, the quarterback. Kyler Murray already has size issues. He cannot afford to shrivel anymore on a football field. But he’s done that consistently since the bye week, glitching out in big moments, and spoiling solid overall performances with inexplicable moments and decisions.

Murray is capable of being an MVP candidate, a breathtaking dual threat, and one of the most compelling players in the NFL. He can also be infuriating, polarizing, and incredibly bad. And that’s all in the span of one possession.

The inconsistencies are maddening, and so is an offense built on checkdowns and bubble screens.

For financial reasons, most of the sharp observers assume that Murray will be back for another go in 2025. But it will be really tough to peddle hope along with a significant hike in ticket prices when so much of the Valley has turned on our diminutive quarterback. And it will be really tough to watch.

Bick has been pleading with Kyler to finally become the 'guy' this year.

The annual derangement of Cardinals fans in thinking this is the year is strangely reminiscent of our own decade of disaster in the '90s. So I almost feel sorry for them. Almost.

They are actually on the upswing I think, since they hired that GM. But QB looms as a massive problem for them and until they fix that they are going to remain a perennial poser.

Re: the Panthers OL they have a really nice set of Tackles. I've always liked Moton, and with Ekwonu improving on the left side they are in good shape. Shouldn't be too tough to find a center, and hopefully it'll be a short one. :laugh3:

Growing up in Hawaii we may have been a little behind but we kinda kept up. I remember hearing cool, cherry, righteous... for something good in the 70's, before bad came out. And if it was better than cool, it was "way cool." We all usually get our slang from the media be it movies, TV, or radio. And from others who heard it before we did.

Then I remember awesome become the favorite. Around when bad came out, maybe a little after... it was fresh, still in the 80s, then sweet was maybe the 90s, then "tight" after that. When Michael Jackson's song came out, bad was already the norm for good for some years. Now it's badass (one word), fire, and sick. I can't ever use sick for good, it always meant having a cold, barfing, skipping work (calling in) or being messed up in the head.

Most of us remember when goat used to be unflattering. You screwed up and lost the game, you were a goat! That changed in about the late 90s early 2000s? Maybe this goes in the non-football thread. Toss me over there if you like, mods.

Well, I was born in So Cal, but left in 1975 for Texas and I was using "bad" before I left.
In the 80's it was more Valley Girl lingo. "Tripindicular" "Totally" "Gag me with a spoon" "like TOTALLY" "lord god king Bu-Fu". All of which were in @Merlin 's verbal wheelhouse....
