Indianapolis, IN (Sports Network) - Things are going from bad to worse for the winless Indianapolis Colts.

Amidst a flurry of moves Tuesday, the club placed both quarterback Kerry Collins and fullback Chris Gronkowski on injured reserve, and announced that guard Joe Reitz underwent arthroscopic knee surgery and will be out indefinitely.

The 38-year-old Collins has missed four straight weeks due to a concussion. Prior to the setback, he totaled 481 yards passing, two touchdowns and one interception on just 48-of-98 efficiency in the season's first three contests before he was felled by a head injury in Week 3 against the Steelers.

Collins, of course, had been lured out of retirement in August when it was learned Peyton Manning would need another surgery on his neck. But he was unable to lead his new team to victory in any of his starts.

Gronkowski played in all seven games, primarily on special teams. He was sidelined by a torn pectoral muscle suffered in Sunday's 62-7 loss at New Orleans.

The Arizona product spent last season with Dallas before the Colts signed him as a free agent on September 4.

Reitz, 26, started in each of Indy's first seven games this season. The Western Michigan product participated in one regular-season and one playoff game for Indianapolis in 2010.

In addition, the Colts announced the signing of guard Jamey Richard and offensive tackle Michael Toudouze to the active roster; signed running back Darren Evans to the practice squad and waived wide receiver David Gilreath from the practice squad.
