For soon-to-be Hall of Fame left tackle Orlando Pace, visits to the Pro Football Hall of Fame in Canton, Ohio, aren't all that strange.
Pace grew up in Sandusky, which is just 109 miles from Canton. Pace paid his first visit to the football mecca when he was in high school. It was on that visit when Pace first began dreaming of setting up shop in the Hall of Fame on a permanent basis someday.
"I was in high school, we were playing a basketball game in Canton and part of our trip was to go visit the Hall of Fame and take a tour," Pace told ESPN in January. "It was pretty cool just to see. I was obviously into football, but to see all those great players -- as a kid it seems so far-fetched that you'd have an opportunity to possibly be there. But you play this game to be great, you want to be one of the greats of the game. That's what I think all players, especially professional players strive to be there."
Pace will be there soon enough as part of the 2016 induction class to the Hall of Fame. After a relatively short two-year wait, Pace is one of five modern-era inductees set to go in in August.
On Monday, Pace got a sneak preview of what's to come as the Hall of Fame and Pace documented on their respective Twitter accounts.
