A little advice from the forum if I may.

After 34 years of following the Rams, I’m finally going to get to see a game live. We will be in LA for the home opener against the Cards.

Any advice on best seats, seats to avoid, pregame drinking spots etc would be much appreciated. Not sure where we are staying yet but will probably be out Santa Monica way but travel won’t be an issue. I mean, I’m travelling half way round the world for his gig!! :)

Any and all advice welcome

G'day mate! Best spot to preparty is Christmas Tree Lane with 5,000 of your closest friends. Lots of activities and you can bring your own food and drinks (they don't recommend glass).

Otherwise, perhaps someone from ROD will tell you where to tailgate with them.

I've found the best deal on tickets is field level, from the back left or right corner of the end zone, up to the 10 yard line, about 20-35 rows up. You get a pretty good view, somewhat closer to the field, and usually better priced. The pic above is from my seats last year at the Cardinal's stadium. Got 7 seats there for $700.

Cool. Christmas Tree lane hey? Sounds like a blast what better way to get immersed in Rams culture. :)

Thanks K61. Can I assume that area of seating is similar to the coliseum?

I think it's similar, but field is a little further away there at the Coliseum. Again, it's just where I feel I've found the best overall deal when going to games, considering the price, view, and still close to the field. Now, if money is no object...lol

I come down for a couple of games each year. The Ram's side is the shady side. I would rather sit closer to the 50 yard line, even higher up, than towards the end zones because the way the stadium is built. I always stay at the Radisson Midtown at USC which is just a couple of blocks away. With USC right there, lots of choices with restaurants and bars. Local people should know the best places.....

Ok I went to LA for the first time ever ( flying into LAX doesn't count) to watch the first regular season game back in LA against the Seagulls. It was amazingly awesome!!! So first off your preference counts but what I did was use www.vrbo.com to rent a place along Venice Beach. It was cheaper than a half ass hotel and pretty comfortable and a stones throw away from the beach. However, when I go again I'm definitely going to get a place in Santa Monica. The sole reason is it's a bit nicer city/beach, no homeless that live on the beach like in Venice Beach (crazy ass story for another time), and Santa Monica is on the end of the Mono Rail train system that takes you directly to the stadium and back for like 10$ at the most I think. That is if the beach, surfing, shops, restaurants and the like are your thing! Anyways the Coliseum is unique in it is old school and literally feels like The Coliseum in Italy when your walking through the tunnels to get to the field. I got tickets at the 50 home side about 17 rows up and cost me like 500$. So If you can get them early because if you don't you'll pay through the nose for tickets. I looked today and Rams vs Chargers visitor side 45 yard line 28 rows up tickets were going 180$ which is damn good. Make sure you give enough time for the tailgating it's pretty cool. Ummmm don't know what else to recommend.

Corbin my friend, that sounds great!

I'm guessing opening day will be pretty popular. And other ROD member states thinking of going?

I think he means the game in LA.

But I'm dyslexic and he may not even be talking about football.

I'm probably not helping...

I’m not 100% on what games to go yet. Working out the schedule. Just might make that charger game since my buddy will be living in LA by then and he is a Chargers fan!

Yeah, I know he means the game in LA. I just used my pic from Glendale to give a view of the angle to the field I was suggesting.

I moved from OC to AZ 5 years ago. I used to have Anaheim season tickets, but haven't been to a game at the Coliseum for over 20 years. These last 5 years I've been going to all the Rams games when they are on the road here in AZ.

Does anyone know if you can purchase Field Pass tickets for Rams games? Are there Ticket packages available that include official pre-game functions?

Thanks in advance

If it is best you are looking for then sects 8H - 6H and rows 25 - 40
this puts you between the 30's and high enough to see the field. The Coliseum has a very gradual slope taking you farther as it takes you higher more than most all other stadiums.

Hope this helps, you will enjoy the game. find friends from ROD and tailgate with us that is the best pregame drink and eat spot

Thanks @rdlkgliders

I read somewhere that there is construction in the upper levels of the stadium on the Rams side for the 2018 season. Has anyone heard about this?
