Stupid Monday night Playoff game at 5pm in LA. Cant go to the game now. You know-work and stuff. I’d have to leave work at 2pm to make it. They could have chosen an East coast game. I’ll be lucky to be able to watch the first half at home on TV. Who decides this stuff?

Saw this on espn, someone made an oopsie.

Super Bowl: 3.8%

First game outlook: The Rams will play at the Lions in the wild-card round (8 p.m. ET, Sunday, NBC) in quarterback Matthew Stafford's first game in Detroit since being traded from the Lions to the Rams in January 2021. The Lions and Rams have only met once in the playoffs, with Los Angeles losing to Detroit 21-18 in the 1952 division playoffs.

Reason for hope: The Rams' offense has played its best football of the season since its Week 10 bye. Los Angeles has averaged 29.9 points per game in of its past seven games and has had that success against some of the league's top defenses (Cleveland, Baltimore and San Francisco). The Rams have a well-balanced offense, led by Stafford, second-year running back Kyren Williams and wide receivers Cooper Kupp and Offensive Rookie of the Year candidate Puka Nacua.

Reason for concern: The Rams rank 32nd in special teams DVOA and have missed 16 combined field goals and extra points, the most of any team this season, according to ESPN Stats & Information. In Week 17 against the Giants, the Rams missed two extra points and allowed a 94-yard punt return in the fourth quarter. After that game, Los Angeles made another change at kicker, cutting Lucas Havrisik and re-signing Brett Maher. The Rams are trying to fix their issues on special teams, but it's an area that could cost them a game in the postseason. -- Sarah Barshop

Stat to know: Ernest Jones ranks fourth among linebackers in run stop win rate. The fact that the Rams have even had an passable defense (24th in EPA per play allowed, 21st vs. the run) is a testament to players such as Jones given how many unknowns this unit started the season

A really interesting weekend would be Tampa and Green Bay winning (as well as our Rams of course). Then we'd have a divisional round of Green Bay @ Detroit, and Rams @ Tampa.

Why do I think it's interesting? Because I think we can take Tampa. And Green Bay eliminates the worst matchup for us. From there it's potentially a home playoff game for us vs the cheeseheads.

Of course that's not to get ahead of what will be a very challenging game. Nothing's a given for us with this secondary. :laugh3:

100%

I am looking for any team to take out Philly and we could run the table if we play our best game vs the other opponents.

But as much as I wish it, I don’t think Green Bay can handle Philly but hey, any given Sunday. Plus, injuries are something to pay attention to. If Philly sustains any major injury teams will smell blood and attack.

I could care less who wins the Tampa game but damn sure I’ll be invested in the Philly game.

Fill SoFi on Monday night with loud Rams fans.

If you can, get out to the game on Monday, should be a hell of an environment.

You think this storyline would be interesting?! Me too...

The Rams win the NFC West but lose to a division rival in week 18, dropping to the 4 seed. They play the 5 seed on Monday Night Football on wildcard weekend.

Then they go across the country to Tampa on a short week.

After that, the chips fell to align (Packers beat the Eagles and Lions) so that the Rams host the NFCCG against a coach from the same tree, one McVay has struggled mightily to beat.

Wouldn't it THAT be something
