So a couple of thoughts from attending the game last night.

  • Those puke green unis were even worse in person
  • I was disappointed in the half-throwbacks. Why just the helmets? I felt like I was set up on a double-date, the girl ends up begin smoking hot, and I find out she's my 1st cousin
  • You think Carroll is bad on TV, try watching him live. He is constantly in refs ears complaining. His perfect team to coach would be the WHINERS. Not only fitting, but this would mean I could consolidate all my hatred onto one entity
  • It was freaking cold. Remember the movie quote "Africa hot"? This felt like Antarctica cold.
  • Fassel was PISSED. I was so surprised, because he comes across so "The Dude", but he'd clearly had enough with the officials when Gurley was pulled to the ground by his facemask, the flag was thrown, but then picked up when a few Seahawks complained. He literally ran onto the field and was yelling at the closest ref. For the next FOUR PLAYS. It took a clear warning from the rep for him to finally stop screaming at him. I watched this from home later to see what TV coverage caught, and they DIDN'T EVEN SHOW A REPLAY!! More yapping from Collingsworth, blah blah blah, while nobody is talking about a blantant foul being reversed because the home team complained. Maybe all that Carroll stuff pays off, eh?
  • Seahawks fans are for the most part well behaved, given how passionate they are. You had to look hard to find anyone without at least 3 forms of Seahawk flair on
  • Man, was it LOUD. I am SO hopeful that Inglewood Palace can be designed to maximize acoustics because IT MAKES A BIG DIFFERENCE! I was literally yelling to my son (when the guy behind him dropped a beer and it went all over my son's chair), and he couldn't hear me
  • Seahawk fans DESPISE Darrell Bevell. It was worse than being at the coliseum and hearing all the Fisher chants. They also respect our D-Line. Their O-Line is clearly their weakness, so paired against our strength explains our success against them. Although it didn't matter last night, when we showed we still can't catch a pass
GO RAMS!

For the half-throwbacks, they were speculating on NFL Radio today it was due to yellow and green showing up as the same for colorblind people. Last year the Bills/Jets game had red and green unis, and apparently colorblind fans couldn't tell them apart.

Then why not just wear all white with Blue stripes?

My guess is they had the Color Rush uniforms made up before the season, and the options last night were either the yellow Color Rush Rams unis, the regular home Rams unis and the regular road Rams unis. I suspect making a third option would have taken more time than they had and might have been impossible based on the contract between the NFL and Nike.

I guess. Just seems that if they got negative feedback from last years color rush, they would have had plenty of time to change.
Oh well, when the uniforms are the hottest topic in mid-December, it goes to show how poorly the season had gone. Lol

The guys on the radio this morning thought that the uniforms are chosen before the schedule is made, so any colorblind issues don't come up until Nike has already designed, made and marketed the Color Rush uniforms.

They almost all look like total ass, though... I thought your white horns with (mostly) white unis looked way better than the yellow crapola Nike designed, even with the gold on the sides.

I said before the game that I didn"t understand the helmet thing...I thought they looked ridiculous with today's unis...The helmets didn't work for me..I'm not a fan of bringing back the old uniforms...I think in this day and age that they're boring looking for me...Know a lot of folks here really dig them, I'm just not one...I'd much rather go back to the blue/yellow...Not only do I like them better, they're the Superbowl reminder...Jmho, of coutse...

I thought it looked terrible. I loved the helmets but it looked like they left their helmets at home and had to borrow somebody elses.

To be fair, I was looking at them next to those radioactive abominations the Seahawks had on, so my opinion may have been a bit... skewed.

Last night was the first time in a really really long time I was pissed after a game. Most about how horrid our O-Line is along with continued bad play calling. I even woke up at 2:30 this morning because I was still thinking about the game. I was pissed about some of the seaturds antics after some of their plays, and hope what goes around comes around to guys like Bennett, Sherman, and Pete the Cheat.

The horns were decals, so it's entirely possible that they weren't uniform.

I think you guys played a pretty good game last night. You have some work to do but not as much as you think. With a new coach, if he doesn't make major changes to the offense and defense, I can see you playing in the playoffs next year.

Damn Seattle, my eyes still hurt.

I assumed the Rams were going for a color rush look. White uniform with a little blue and as little gold as they could manage, to go with the blue helmet and white horns. I guess that it's possible, theoretically only of course, that I was wrong. Don't mention that to my wife. Not that she'll see it. How I married a niner fan is still a mystery to me.

I assumed the helmet was a tease to their uniform change coming. Couldn't go all the way with blue and white uniforms because it'd basically give it away.

The fact that it will be dug into the ground 100 ft won't hurt. That noise will will have nowhere to escape, it will be like the "Pit" in New Mexico, LOUD. The roof thingy will help as well.
Only thing I worry about is if all the millionaires will be ready to make that noise.
