If we can beat Dallas, the Niners game will almost certainly decide if we make the playoffs.

couple of things about that game, Niners are beat up with several starters out for weeks, and it’s not the game they need to win.

if the Niners beat falcons at home this week, and Seahawks beat panthers and cards, all highly likely, the Niners beating the Rams won’t help them win the division. If they beat the Rams and then lose to Seattle, the Niners lose the west and become the 5th seed WC.

how does all that play into the Niners approach to the Rams game? It’s possible that they don’t play guys who are banged up, saving them for seattle the following week. In any event, the game will be more important to us than them.

As exciting as that game might be, i just cant think past Dallas.

The 49ers still have it all to play for so i think they put their best team available on the field.

I hope you're right, but IMO the Seahawks and 49ers will be looking to win out.

Nobody wants to go to NO or GB in the playoffs.

That’s true, but...

Niners have tie breakers over GB and NO. They just need to win 2 more games INCLUDING Seattle.

There is an argument that the Niners want to win next 2 so they can rest guys against AZ. I just think they realize that Hawks game is the key to #1 seed and that is their focus.

The rams only need to worry about dallas this week. Looking ahead will be Tampa all over again.
1 game at a time.

I don't think the Niners sit anyone against the Rams, and I wouldn't want them to. We'll see though.

I'd be happy if they sat everyone and called up the practice squad!!!

I want to see the Rams make the playoffs.

The Niners beat the Rams with two backup Ts last time.
Although C may be a bigger deal.
The Rams could physically compete with the Whiners. But once the Whiners got up they were very conservative on O.
They knew the Rams O couldn’t do anything that day and didn’t want to take risks with their own offense.
NO attacked them very well with Hands Up Don’t Catch until he was injured. Would like to see some similar plays for out TEs.
But none of it will matter if we can’t get past a desperate Dallas team.
Dallas HAS to win.
Hopefully their crippling disfunction continues.

The Rams D' has to be on their toes. The main attack of the Niners offense is misdirection. They love to get the defense going one way and go back the other way.

Defense will have to be disciplined and contain the backside. Just like against Wilson, when they have Jimmy G in trouble they gotta get him down!!!

The offense has to be sharp and Goff MUST be willing to run when it's there. He has to break contain everytime he can to slow that pass rush. I never forget how demoralized Goff looked in that first game. The Oline has to be up to the task!!!

ATTACK, ATTACK, AND ATTACK SOME MORE...running and passing!

Yep I just worked out the math. Beat Cowboys and 9ers and were nearly home and hosed. The Vikings are actually our biggest threat - I have then finishing 11-5 (I've got Green bay going 12-4 also though), which means we need to win out - go 11-5 and beat the Cards on the final day of the regular season). If we win out its in our hands I think and we should be ok. There is no room for slip ups now. The play offs start for the Rams on Sunday.

If we can't beat the Cowgirls and the 9'ers to get INTO the playoffs, we don't deserve to be in the playoffs. Simple as that.

This season has been plagued with outings vs lesser rosters where the Rams came out flat and got punched in the face and didn't recover. They got up for the Saints in week 2 and emerged from the first three games 3-0, only to play like garbage vs the Bucs. They were 5-3 entering the week 10 matchup with the beleaguered Steelers and laid an egg, losing an ugly scrum of a game that might have been their worst loss of the year to date.

Good as the Ravens are, the Rams don't get a pass from me for that beating they took. They came out flat. They should have been in the game at least.

There's a lot of reason to think we're all living on false hopes right now. Has this team really turned the corner? Or are they just too flawed to win enough in this tough sched not to mention needing help from the Vikes. I mean I'm in playoff mode right now. For me this game in Dallas is wildcard round #2. I think they'll win it too. But I'm also sort of waiting for the other shoe to drop.

So all I can handle right now personally is one game at a time. I simply don't have the confidence in these guys to look ahead. Wish that wasn't the case but it is what it is.

I agree with this sentiment. And in a way being eliminated is almost a relief when you have a flawed team that will just get bounced anyway.

But I am still in that stage where I'm holding out hope that this group gets their swag back and makes a run. It ain't easy taking off those rose colored glasses.

Thing is our game is on Saturday night and I believe the Seahawks play on Sunday afternoon. So the Niners wont know the outcome of that game so they will play to win for sure. We were right there with them until the 3rd quarter fumble by Henderson. We had so many opportunities. This time Gurley will be there. I have a good feeling about this game. Lets beat Dallas first and avoid any big injuries.

Merlin - I think it's going to happen. Los Ramos punched the Seahags right in their ugly bird face and then kept doing it over and over again, right into submission.

I think Sunday is going to be the coming out party and will setup the huge showdown against that other team.

Cheers boys! Going to be a fun ride!
