This statement is so wrong and off...Foles is looking better than Case "pick six" Keenum
Which idiot GM was going to give the Rams a 4th or 5th for Foles based on his 2015 performance, knowing that he was gonna be cut anyway?Rams couldnt have got a 4th or 5th? Wait, bad cap number made it tough to trade him....who's mistake was that?
An armchair GM from his basement keyboard.Which idiot GM was going to give the Rams a 4th or 5th for Foles based on his 2015 performance, knowing that he was gonna be cut anyway?

Oh really. So my ability to think next level is challenged, but yours is on point?Seems asking you to think "next level" is a challenge. The Rams went out of there way the year they acquired Foles to sign him to an extension. Perhaps letting his contract play out would have been a prudent move? Rams made it impossible to deal him due to their own actions.
BTW--Seems the Eagles played the search for a new QB game pretty well, Rams failed miserably.
Foles had no interest in staying with the team. He skipped all offseason workouts once they selected Jared Goff, and then requested a release. There was no trade value for him. He had arguably the worst season of any QB last year, was disgruntled, and would not have participated last year anyway. It was a surprise when they cut him. They had already paid his bonus so he cost them basically nothing to keep him on the roster. The fact they cut him to get back $75k? was perplexing. Injuries to qbs always happen in preseason so opportunity to trade him would have been there.
It seemed like they wanted a cut scene in the first show of hard knocks and foles was the biggest name player they would likely cut so they just did it.

He didn't have to be in the complex. As long as he was still contracted to the team. If nothing happened during preseason and they needed a roster spot they could cut him then. To let him go for $75k was funny, in a ridiculous kind of way. A team worth billions worried about 75k. Not the smartest move they ever made.

The Eagles basically gave us Foles with their 2nd rounder for Bradford. The Rams then used that extra 2nd rounder to go up and grab Goff. Bradford no longer plays for the Eagles, so exactly how brilliant are they with their QB acquisitions?
