Hard to argue against Merlin he was a machine for a long time. Could also say Deacon as well for the same reason.

Yeah Old 74 is a hard pick to beat. 14 Pro Bowls. Long career spent entirely in horns.

I love Jackie Slater for the same reason, playing your entire career with one team just feels profound to me.

But so many deserving. By the time he's done hopefully 99 is similar to Olsen and Slater in only playing for the Rams. I don't ever want to see that dude in another team's colors.

Oh and how bad is Atlanta's history that they list Matty Ice as their greatest player. Holy shite.

Seattle is Bobby Wagner..... I mean he's been a very good player but the best player ever?
Yeah it is strange. I think maybe it shows the advantage of the older franchise and larger pool of players. Wagner's a badass for sure but I don't think I'd put him above Russel Wilson and I'm no expert on Seattle stats and shit but wasn't Largent a guy with a long career?

Dickerson. He set the record. Greatest Ram or greatest most physically gifted player to don the uniform? It may even be Donald.

If Dickerson had stayed with the Rams his entire career he'd have a better shot at it.

Wagner has very quietly been one of the best ilb ever. Guy has 315 more combined tackles than Ray Lewis.

I LOATHE the Seahawks but Wagner is legit.

Not saying he isn't a great player. But a franchises greatest of all time? Sorry Steve Largent was and is one of the greatest receivers to ever play the game hell Warner and Alexander seem a better choice for that honor. Besides tbh tackles is a shit stat to judge a defensive player on. Just because you made a tackle doesn't mean it was a good tackle. Was that tackle after a 10 yard run on 3rd and 9 for a first down or was it a 2 yard stop behind the line to force a punt? Tackles are a shit stat.

Though it was before our time, I think Norm Van Brocklin has to be included as one of the greatest Ram.

I get it... but how in hell do you put Wagner over Steve Largent???

At least with the Rams, you've got your choice of 8 or 9 people who could claim it (I'd say Slater, but Dickerson would be my number 2, and I wouldn't argue with anybody who claimed Merlin or Deacon)

But with the Seahawks, the answer is Walter Jones, and there's not a lot of room for debate on that.

I always felt Deacon Jones was the greatest Ram of all time because of his impact on the game along with his play and personality. He was before my time though, and I spent my formative Ram years idolizing his replacement—Jack Youngblood.
#85 might not be the greatest ever, but he’s in the conversation. He was once referred to as, “The John Wayne of football”. In John Madden’s book he wrote, “if a Martian came down from space and asked what a football player was, I’d take him to Jack Youngblood’s house.”

That’s quite a compliment.
