Now that the Rams have their backfield and DL pretty much set, They have holes to fill at LB. What will they do to fill them?

Lets get started on another long winded thread!

Honestly Harold Landry at 23 with Ebukam and our other OLB on the roster and an ILB or two in the 4th and/or 6th round and this defense is amazing.

You can put a rookie linebacker or two who fits Wade's scheme and they'll develop well thanks to their supporting cast

I think Shaquem Griffin makes sense...

But I dont see a LB in the 1st unless its clearly BPA. I think our ILBs are Littleton and Barron, and then Longacre/Ebukam with a rookie mixed in. Griffin could be moved all around.

If we could sign Navarro Bowman in free agency for the same price Oakland gave him last season ($3mil), we then would enter the draft keying only on BPA rather than need as other than at ROLB, every other position is well covered. jmo.

Bowman and Landry might be overkill but I would be perfectly fine with it. Any LB has to be salivating to play behind this front, Ray Lewis probably wants to come out of retirement. :ROFLMAO:

Yes!

Or

Evans who can play in the middle, move around blitz from anywhere and rush from the edge on pass downs.

For starters Coach Joe Barry was in the middle of this LBer group. If you go watch his video , he says I love this guy !! Who that guy is ?? Could be a big reason The Rams traded Ogletree ??

It was not until , that that happened.

Inside LBers is a position that holds its value in drafts..
Could even be that OLB ?

With the elite acquisitions on the defensive side the ball.

I would have no problem with OLine or a pass catcher in the first, and LBer later. There’s good LB depth in this draft.

I wouldn’t mind a trade down from 23 overall to grab an extra second as well.

Rams have Barron & Ebukam back, both are will start. Longacre is coming back from injury, he did very well in a part time role with Quinn, his snaps certainly can increase. Littleton is back, Ramik Wilson was brought in from KC, both can certainly get more snaps in place of Tree. Hagar, Price, Thompson, Sickels are back for depth. Rams do need a replacement for Quinn, that will be a draft pick, can draft another ILB to battle for starting opposite Barron.

Wade's job....as well as Joe Barry's....with help from Snead and his minnions....is to find 3 guys to battle for positions in the LB room. While I'd love to have a bunch of 2nd and 3rd round picks....It seems that this is an easy fix. We had a boatload of LB's in camp last year....cut some I thought were ok....several got injured....a few were unimpressive....I don't think LB's should be a problem. Late round picks...udfa's....and some LB's left on the FA scrap heap are where I'd look.

Are you talking about Rams camp....or when he was at the combine?

When he was at the combine.Rught after the combine The Rams traded Ogletree. The Rams coaching staff stay in the moment & aren’t afraid to make the tough choices. Gurley was pissed at the move when it happened.
Who is going to be the team leader on defense. Brockers & Tree were very tight. They both have been leaders.

When he was at the combine.Right after the combine The Rams traded Ogletree.
Ok....and after I saw some of those dudes at the combine, I wanted to replace our LB's too. I still don't understand how he got an extension during last season?

Tough move? Naw....Tree was hurt this season....that elbow thing....but the number of missed tackles....hell, I wanted to cut him after the playoff game. I like Tree tho....good energy....I don't think that was "him" last year. That elbow injury was too tough to overcome. he wasn't the greatest tackler before that either.

If the Rams stay at 23 don't be surprised if they take their LOT of the future. This draft is deep at LBer and they can find good ones in the 3rd or 4th rounds.

It will be interesting after the draft. Les Snead does a good job explaining The Rams thought process.

His scouting goes all the way back to Bobby Wagner.
