Why would we do that? Noteboom is playing decently. Whitworth should be back for the playoffs. And Penn didn't play well last year.

While you're right stating noteboom has been decent, but he's not very good in the run game. He'll get better I'm sure. Just my 2 cents

Agree, but it never hurts to kick the tires. I’m a 50/50 on this one.

Some players just need time to heal. He may be a great option with the time off and fresh legs.

Rams need to consider next season and the long game. Counting on Whit is foolish. Explore any and all options at LT.

It does hurt to kick the tires. We only have so many roster spots, we have an OL that has chemistry, and we have a young LT who is auditioning to be our future. It makes zero sense to consider an OT that no team wants when our OTs are playing solid to good football.

Donald Penn isn't the long game. He's retirement age. How many teams are desperate for LTs? Yet, he's on the street.

It's a dumb idea. Penn is 37 years old. Our current LT, who happens to be playing pretty well, is 25 years old. I'm going to call a spade a spade. I make no apologies for that.

At what cost? Always good to play fantasy, but with the cap & Brewer sitting out this season sets The Rams up damn well imo.

Kick the tires all you want. I like Bobby Evans as a spare back up as well. Long term is building this franchise the right way.

McSnead has put so much young talent on this roster. I believe The Rams get a lot of comp picks, just trying to keep there own.

Anything we can do to upgrade the OL we should IMO.

Noteboom is our worst graded OL and has allowed 2 sacks already in last 2 starts.

For reference our other OL- PFF grades:

Hav 80.7
Corbett 69.7
Blythe 71.7
Edwards 71.5
Whitworth 88.7

If he can do both run block and pass block then I'd kick the tires. But at his age if he can't do both better (my dog could run block better than Joe) then no. It wouldn't be worth getting Goff killed. But it never hurts to give him a try out

Gave up no sacks vs Tampa.
Gave up one pressure.
Watched every play with him on offense twice.
Don’t remember any vs SF but he may have.
The only thing lacking would be his run grade.

Just giving you the grades from people who get paid for a living to evaluate every single snap, regardless of the outcome. If you prefer your evaluation you're entitled to do so, but some other people might be curious how's he's graded out thus far.

I don't know how taking a offensive tackle off the street and into a playoff race translates lol. He was very good, but man it'd be tough.
