Who's Nate Horgan you ask? I have no idea. According to Twitter, he's a communications intern with the Rams. It looks like they're trying to fill the void Nick Wagoner left, but I don't know if he's gonna be that guy.

- In their first practice since the preseason opener in Cleveland, the Rams looked fresh and focused throughout the afternoon. Despite it being a shells practice, the intensity remained high for a team that appears hungry and eager to learn from experiences such as its exhibition loss to the Browns two days ago.
- It was clear both sides of the ball were ready to go from the beginning of practice after the tone was set with LT Jake Long and DE Robert Quinn’s clash of speed and strength in one-on-ones and physical plays made between WR Chris Givens and CB Janoris Jenkins out wide.
- TE Jared Cook continues to be a force in the red zone as he and QB Sam Bradford connected for two touchdown strikes. Fellow tight end Cory Harkey, who has done well as a blocker and a special teams player, also showed off his catching ability on Saturday as he brought a couple of big receptions throughout the day. Rookie WR Tavon Austin hauled in several balls throughout 7-on-7 and team periods.
- In the third-down segment of the 11-on-11 period, the defense came up with several stops thanks to the combination of its pressure on the quarterback and solid coverage. However, the offense picked up a conversion after WR Emory Blake laid out for a diving first-down grab.
- At the running back position, Daryl Richardson showed off his north-and-south speed with a number of big runs. Benny Cunningham and Chase Reynolds each received a considerable number of reps both carrying the ball and in the pass game with Terrance Ganaway and Zac Stacy each taking a day to rest.
- S Matt Daniels was a full participant in Saturday’s practice and had a pass breakup in 7-on-7. Before returning to the field full time this afternoon, Daniels spent the first part of camp rehabbing and most recently taking part in the team’s individual practice periods. LB Jabara Williams and WR Andrew Helmick also returned to the field after spending some time out of practice.
