Anyone who thinks Myles Garrett should be suspended indefinitely or charged with assault is SO SOFT!

That fight was not bad! A bunch of swinging and pushing but nothing connected outside of the helmet tap, and I bet anything he wasnt even bruised from that hit.

A fine and a game or so suspension I get, but pressing charges and kicking him out the league is way too far.

You’re a psycho.

Lol @ filing assault charges. That’s dumb asf! Then where does it begin or where does it end? You get an unsportsmanlike and get an assault charge? Roughing the kicker? Go to jail. This is a contact sports and shit happens.

suspend his dumb ass a season and a half without any pay at the minimum.

If this wasn’t in a football game and someone was swinging a football helmet at your head, would you still feel the same way? He could’ve killed the guy if the helmet hit his head the right way...

This was the most vicious play I’ve ever seen in the NFL. It was BAD.

Guess we sending half the pitchers who “assault other players“ with a baseball to jail. Say goodbye to half the NHL players out there for hitting somebody with a stick.View attachment 32094

That's within the context of a game. Football is not about hitting helmetless opponents with their own fucking helmet. If you truly feel like it is, I have no fucking idea what to tell you.

Anyone defending Garrett's actions has issues. If he would have punched or kicked Rudolph, so what? Body slam him? So what? Take off his helmet and hit him with it? That is the actions of a psychopath with uncontrollable rage.

IMO, he should be suspended indefinitely until he can be psychoanalyzed and appropriate action taken.

There's nothing mutual about hitting another player in the head with a helmet. The closest thing in sports was McSorley's two-handed swing at Brashear's head, and McSorley got assault charges against him. No reason why Garrett shouldn't get the same.

You're not even close.

McSorley missed.

Juan Marichal bashed John Roseboro in the head with a baseball bat during a game.

14 stitches to close Roseboro's wound.

Marichal was ejected, got an 8 game suspension, and a $1700 fine

Today? That's aggravated battery with a deadly weapon.

I just heard an asshat on ESPN with Stephen A. actually defend Garrett. Saying they were going at each other and Garrett just won the encounter. I'm just fucking speechless......

What a moron. Garrett should fry, absolutely no excuse for his actions.
Well, it’s ESPN, so consider the source.
He was probably instructed to be outrageous so Stephen could rant.

Garrett should be suspended and lose his pay for the rest of the year. That is a helmet slammed into Mason Rudoph's head and that is assault. I'm glad Pouncey stood up for his QB and punched the daylights out of Garrett.

McSorley did not miss. And yes, I'd say that Marichal definitely deserved time in prison, even if he didn't get it.

Garrett falls into that category.

I think suspended the rest of this season with it open ended into next year.
I think it will end up being a year.
Wonder if there will be a trade market for him?
Can you trade a player who is suspended?

He kicked him (not well) and will probably get a several game suspension as well.

I will chime in and state that although I'm definitely NOT defending Garrett's actions, I do have issues.

That aside, this whole disturbing episode has me pondering why we get so riled up when we see something like this, but nobody is asking for pitchers throwing a hardball 100 MPH at a dude's face/dome to be escorted off the field in handcuffs.

If criminal action is even considered in this case, I say you have to consider many others as well.

And yes, Garrett should be suspended rest of the year minimum.

Gotta love Pouncey. For both his actions and his locker room interview after the game. Ogunjobi should be hammered too. He was also seriously out of line.

Browns gonna brown somehow

I thought it was entertaining in reality. I was laughing the entire time. But yes he should be suspended the remainder of the season. Make an 8 game suspension so hes suspended the first two of next year too. Make an example out of him. The end

Ummm pitchers are trying to strike them out, not purposely trying to put a hole in their heads.
