My mock draft results for the Rams

I selected Akeem Spence, DT, in the 6th round. Not sure how he lasted that long. He is stout against the run.

Saints fan here. We do a mock draft every year and I was the Rams GM this year.

Thought I would share the results of the first 6 rounds.

Round 1 - WR Cordarelle Patterson, Tennessee
Round 1 - FS Matt Elam, Florida
Round 2 - OLB Arthur Brown, Kansas State
Round 3 - WR Da'Rick Rogers, Tennessee Tech
Round 4 - OL David Bakhtiari, Colorado
Round 5 - RB Kenjon Barner, Oregon
Round 6 - DT Akeem Spence, Illinois

Rams actual draft:

(8) Tavon Austin, wr, West Virginia
(30) Alec Ogletree, lb, Georgia
(71) T.J. McDonald, db, Southern Cal
(92) Stedman Bailey, wr, West Virginia
(113) Barrett Jones, c, Alabama
(149) Brandon McGee, db, Miami
(160) Zac Stacy, rb, Vanderbilt.

So we have:

WR Patterson and Rogers vs Austin and Bailey (total opposites in what these guys would bring to the table, big/strong vs slippery/home run hitters)
S Elam vs McDonald
ILB Brown vs Ogletree (interesting debate here)
OL Bakhrtiari vs Jones (another interesting debate, tackle/guard vs guard/center)
RB Barner vs Stacy (again, an interesting debate, very different attributes, thumper vs a going the distance guy)
DT Spence vs DB McGee (what position did you have more of a need)

I would have to think that Tavon Austin is the smallest player taken in the top 10 in a very, very long time (5'8", 174 lbs).

Obviously, that is his one knock, whether he can take the rigors of the NFL and manage to stay on the field.

If he does, then you hit a home run.
