Saints fan here. We do a mock draft every year and I was the Rams GM this year.

Thought I would share the results of the first 6 rounds.

Round 1 - WR Cordarelle Patterson, Tennessee
Round 1 - FS Matt Elam, Florida
Round 2 - OLB Arthur Brown, Kansas State
Round 3 - WR Da'Rick Rogers, Tennessee Tech
Round 4 - OL David Bakhtiari, Colorado
Round 5 - RB Kenjon Barner, Oregon
Round 6 - DT Akeem Spence, Illinois

Rams would now have a receiving corps of

Wideouts
Quick 6'3 220 lbs
Patterson 6'3" 215 lbs
Rogers 6'3" 210 lbs
Givens 6'0" 200 lbs

Slot receivers
Pettis 6'3 210 lbs
Cook 6'5" 250 lbs

Tight End
Cook 6'5" 250 lbs
Kendricks 6'3" 245 lbs

For the first time ever, Bradford will have a chance to succeed at a very high level.

Welcome to the board and thanks for sharing your mock. I like some of what you did, but have a few commnets.

1. Although S. Smith is still listed on the roster no way he makes it to camp.
2. Givens is unlikely to ever become a slot receiver, just not his skill set.
3. I, personally, would have preferred another player (J. Cooper, G UNC) at 16 and D. Hopkins, WR Clem., at 22 but don't know who was available when you picked.
4. I like the A. Brown pick but am not sold on Elam, prefer Cyprien.

Steve Smith is a free agent so technically he's not on our roster so he won't be in camp as of now

If the draft fell the way you guys have it mocked, and the Rams came away with Patterson, Elam, and Brown in the first 2 rounds I would be stoked. Especially with the second round selection of Aurther Brown.

If we drafted a WR in the first, I dont think we go back to the WR well again in the 3rd. Cook is more of a WR than TE, so that third round selection of Rodgers would essentially be our 5th or 6th WR. That pick could be allocated elsewhere like OG or RB.

Like BigRamFan said, Givens inst really a slot type guy in my mind. I think his speed is best utilized on the outside.

Thanks for sharing!!!

From an outside perspective, I wouldn't mind it.

I also think Matt Elam goes in the 1st (who, I'm saying Cincy).

This Da'Rick Rodgers guy has character issues. IDK if they'll go for him after Tru's issues. But if it works out nice, weapon.

I also think they go CB early, maybe 3rd round now (b/c of Tru).

Yeah, I'll echo some of the other comments in this thread.

Steve Smith isn't on the roster (technically), so he might not be at camp.
Givens isn't a slot receiver, and his size shouldn't dictate where he plays.
Cook is technically going to be the slot receiver now. As will Austin (50/50, actually).

And your mock, were it to turn out that way, wouldn't be disappointing.

Cool! welcome to the board dude.

I like some of your picks but I disagree with a couple. I don't see Patterson at 16 - someone had asked Jeff Fisher about a certain wideout that was big and physical (I can't think of his name), and snead responded with "We already have a receiver like that (Quick)". I honestly think they'll go with a playmaker like tavon austin or Safety.

I don't see OLB in the 2nd round. We need a SLB, which is the type you find in like the 4th round. I see Warford here or maybe a guard pick, unless some WR talent slides from the first.

Very nice job!

If you sub #3 Rogers for WR Stedman Bailey...I'd give it an A+!!!
I love Patterson, Elam and Brown...they are close to tops at their position in my opinion.
I love Elam & Brown...which would allow Dunbar to move to SLB and Brown at WLB....we'd have great speed outside!
And Matt Elam is a Toby Wright clone and a real thumper!

WRs Patterson & Baily would be great additions and variance for our WR corps!
Great job!

Thanks pretty cool stuff and not bad for a non Ram fan. Patterson is a great pick at 16. Not crazy about Elam in the first. I prefer Vaccaro. He play the lower box and cover the slot very effectively. He is a versatile S. To me he fits this defense perfect. I like Cyprien also but Vaccaro gives this defense tremendous flexability.

I like that you recognized our position of needs. Nice job for a Saints fan lol. Brown is solid and I love Rogers talent. I think he is full of himself after listening to him and think he has potential to be Terrell Owens. I think he will play his butt off but think he is a selfish player too who will constantly complain. He could be your typical experation player. You will tolerate him for 2 maybe 3 years before you have to cut ties with him, like a Owens or Moss.

I just want to say; thank you for sharing the result.

Personally, that's not a bad draft IMO.

Added in my 4th round pick.

David Bakhtiari, OL

Would slide into the left guard spot, where you guys appear to have an issue. This player is rated 2nd round by some mocks, and is usually in that group of 2nd tier lineman after those first 6 or 7 go in the first round.

I think Cook will lineup primarily in the slot. Pettis is also utilized out of the slot quite a bit. If w draft Austin, you can bet he will see considerable time there as well. Slot by committee!!

Also, I like your draft for the most part. I am a huge DaRick Rogers fan...in fact I prefer him to Patterson.

While I did not draft what appears to be a popular choice in Stedman Bailey, I was able to get an "open space" type player in the 5th round:

Kenjon Barner, RB, Oregon

This gives you that home run hitter type player that this offense so sorely lacks. I think he can be a great weapon in the passing game and maybe even play a little slot receiver.

He has been clocked at 4.39 in the 40.

And he would obviously be in the mix to return punts with the now departed Amendola vacating that spot.

Think Darren Sproles.

Meh...I'm not a fan of that pick. We have two of the same type of back as Barner in Richardson and Pead. If we're talking purely about punt returners, we could have one in Tyrann Mathieu (who's more proven at that than Barner, can play cornerback and free safety, and is a better talent in the fifth that we can afford to take a risk on).

Am I the only one that doesn't see the Cordarelle Paterson attraction :s

And if you're looking for a late round PR/KR/WR you could do a lot worse than Ace Sanders - take a look at the 1:37 play!! and he's perfectly built for the slot ;)

I dunno. Patterson has good size and looks great with the ball in his hands. I have attraction to the player.

I worry about his rawness, tho.

Its not that your the only one the rawness is what keeps us from digging in
