During the last 3 plays of the game, on that tackle from behind, Murray got hurt right? Looked like either a Toe, Ankle or Knee.
I feel like some news will come out that he has a little something going on.
Although he IS the kind of person to limp around and fake like he's hurt just for attention and for people to say "man he's a warrior playing hurt and all."

Do you all realize we are one Murray injury away from easily winning our division!!!! ????? (wink wink)

Murray limped off the field following the game, but he told reporters afterward that he would be fine. Murray appears confident that after three extra days of rest, he’ll be good to go for the Cardinals’ next game, November 7 at San Francisco.

That's what they all say. Reminds me of this...

But if he really has an ankle injury, Cha-Ching! We win the division. His quickness is what makes their offense work. Who's their #2 QB anyway?

Don’t be so sure. Fox injured Murray’s ankle when the Rams played them last year. The back up, Strebling, came in and didn’t play well. When the game was still within reach Murray limped back onto the field and quickly lead his team on a drive down the field. He dropped dimes and befuddled the Rams defense, especially with TE Arnold.

Murray may be less dangerous when he cannot scramble but he is still a dangerous QB even when kept in the pocket.

Yeah he's been playing lights out. I just hope that changes if and when the Rams realize they need to rush the pocket as a group and contain him.

Drawing the Cardinals before the defense got in sync under Morris was crappy luck. The Cardinals are always at their best early in the season when Murray is healthy. Our defensive line did a poor job of containing him. The secondary also was not well sorted out with Rapp playing free safety and Long at Corner. It was a mess. I’m hoping for a much different result in the second matchup.

Initial reports say it's probably a high ankle sprain or PCL strain. Normally maybe 1 - 2 weeks. But they have 10 days until their next game so he probably will play. That said high ankle sprains can linger and if he returns too early it might give him trouble for weeks.

One thing that was real clear against the Packers is that he's still a two-read QB. After that, he's in improvise or run mode. Also, most of his passes are under 10 yards. He's a dink and dunk QB that is inconsistent with his deep accuracy. In other words, when it comes to passing he's another Tua type QB, only more dangerous when he runs because of his speed.

Morris' scheme played to Kyler's strength by leaving the short zone virtually undefended with his ultra-conservative soft zone. Kyler reads from short to deep so taking away his first two short/medium receivers it will allow Donald and his friends to get to Kyler. Morris' soft bend not break zone is a loser if employed against Murray. Limit their run attack, take away his first two reads and contain him with your LBs and the Cards offense can be stopped. Morris must not allow AZ to control the clock.

Most of all the Rams must play a clean game. Limit the penalties and eliminate the turnovers. Those two turnovers last time were killers. Morris needs to play aggressively.

I agree. If he's dinged up enough to affect his running, he's not really a good quarterback. He's not built to be a pocket passer. It seems like he does get dinged up a lot. Not enough to miss games but enough to slow him down and take away the best part of his game.

You could be right but many teams are one injury away from disaster.

Although you can argue that Murray's style of play would make him more prone to these types of injuries.

In previous years - yes. This season he's completing over 70% of his passes over 20 yards in the air. Still, I think if his wheels are not there, he becomes a pretty mediocre QB.

I'll have to say that I have underestimated him. Hopefully he sinks back to mediocrity over the second half of the season.
