If Stan sold the team now he'd almost break even on that stadium.

Without doing the math, the average appears nearly 20% valuation increase.

The freakin Chicago Bears are 6th? Are you kidding me? I stand by this quote about the City of Chicago...What is it with people from Chicago that they're so happy to have been born there? I meet so many people who can't wait to tell me they're from Chicago and when I meet them, they're living anywhere but Chicago.

I think it's more that they survived Chicago

The article says property value and businesses are taken into account, and it is the 3rd most populated city in the US.

What did Stan pay for the Rams... 900 million? I guess he got his stadium money back. And kudos to Les Snead and Shawn Mcvay btw.

I always say this myself, being from NYC. Chicago is the fakest, cheapest "Big City." Nowhere in the class of New York or L.A. Other cities like Boston, Dallas, and San Francisco should be considered bigger. Bunch of Midwestern cheapskates with horrible accents. NOT the second city.

I stayed a week with my college roommate in 1988 in Chicago and felt the city sucked back then

I don't see how it could have gotten much better since then.

Chicago is also 3rd in GDP generated (~715 billion annually), 7th in the world.

Why are they always so CHEAP when it comes to Sports. The Wirtz family with the Black Hawks. The Bulls ran the Jordan Dynasty out of town early to try and save money. The Cubs and White Sox, all those years, notoriously cheap. The Bears, 100 years without a Quarterback. Does anyone realize the Bears Drafted All-Time greats Dick Butkus and Gale Sayers in the SAME Draft, and those guys NEVER played in the Playoffs??? Penny-Pinching, Bottom Line cheap-ass town.

Just a reminder, we once had a 17 game losing streak starting in 2008 before beating the Lions in 2009.
To be where we are now, 2nd most valued franchise, it's unbelievable.

OK but, Sofi Stadium cost $5.5 Billion. Seems like a poor return on invested capital.
LASED cost that much, not the stadium. Also LASED and is going to make Stan a fuck ton more $$$ that won't ever reflect in the teams value.
