I was disappointed the Rams didn't look for a seasoned DC to help lead us to a good season. Early returns are pretty dismal about Shula's skill to bring intensity to that side of the ball.

I'm more worried about his choices of starting players.

Shula’s D looked great in preseason using 3rd stringers.

More aggression, better tackling, swarming to the ball, etc.

But in that Card game? Hoo boy!

Rams badly have overestimated Bobby Brown, Tre White, Reeder, and Rozeboom. Who’s to blame there? Snead? McVay? Shula? Or all 3 equally?

Still, it’s only been 2 games, sooooo…

The D played well against Detroit, until the last series. Maybe just a bad game against Arizona? If the Rams give up 150 yards or more on the ground today ROD will be looking for Shula's head on a platter.

The defence looked good in pre-season and week 1. Way too early to judge him yet. Particularly given all the young players on it with so many more veteran players injured. I still think this defence looks stout by year's end. We'll see.

I will admit however it irks the fuck out of me to see O'Connell paired with Brian Flores. Shit chaps my hide. But I am going to wait and see how Shula settles in to the job before I start laying judgment.

This is like saying after two games you are disappointed with our OC and HC and we needed to go a different way.

Chill the fuck out, epic level of injuries and idiots getting suspended causing a huge disruption in both sides of the ball.

Definitely. Total overreaction, considering injuries and those with whom he is working.
Most injuries are on the offensive side. The defense has mostly been healthy. Now if you wanna talk about what he has to work with, that is a fair point. Reeder and Rozebooms are JAGS or worse. Brown is showing why he was a late round pick. Pretty much another JAG or worse. White clearly isn't what he was. I had high hopes for Fiske but he's mostly invisible. If I don't make a point to look for number 55 I wouldn't even know he's on the field. Its also fair to wonder if Shula isn't in over his head. No one is overachieving.

Really hoping to see 55 pick it up

I’m chalking last week up to Kyler, more than anything else.

Or do we all forget the ass-kicking Cards gave the Rams in early 2021???

I was mostly referring to the loss of John Johnson III on the defense. I was talking about the loss of Ernest Jones and Reeder and Rozeboom starting. Also, the Conductor is suffering from Aaron Donald withdrawals. I have focused on Fiske and he's been close to having a sack a couple of times. Last week, most of the defense git lost in that shyte show, which I don't know how much he can be blamed for that?

@Play Action Forget not talking with my family or friends but re-reading this comment it can certainly be taken as a dickhead intent, which wasn't the intention at all! Glad to have you here on the site and look forward to chatting some Rams football with you! (hopefully better football! lol)

Well down 14-0 after defense couldn’t stop the first two drives…. OP may be on to something.
