Thank you Dani for asking the questions that must be asked.

Rather have these. The questions that "must be asked" always get canned and cliched answers.

Plus, it's Dani asking so I'm good with them!

Okay, legitament Dani fantasies aside, have you looked at the YouTube highlights of Mike Thomas?

Every single phase of that man's game comes from hard work and talent.

If you can get past the dropsies, he will be a steal and a great contributor.

Dropsies? For a WR can't get past that.

From what I've seen of her interviews they are of the inane. Perhaps someday she will surprise but until then there is an ant crawling up the wall and I'm wondering if it will make a predictable right or left turn when it gets to the ceiling (ala Dani) or if it will continue straight on course while walking upside down on the ceiling (ala Howard Cosell).

Well, here's hoping Thomas plays better than a Great Grandmother because last year he was a disappointment IMHO.

I think we're too hard on Thomas. Just like Goff was in a bad situation, Thomas also was in an uncomfortable position, on a dysfunctional offense.

Yes, he dropped balls here and there, on his irregular targets. But Thomas was one of the few guys that could get open. He will become more consistent with experience, with strength and conditioning training, and just through repetition with the QB. He's a hard worker, and showed plenty for a rookie WR in a broken scheme.

I'll reiterate, we judge him too harshly for not being the answer, when I feel we ought to be excited that we have a grinder who has the potential to really blow up with some more experience and a clearer role in a better offense.

He also seems to be a good route runner and he is pretty fast. He has big play potential and he was under a lot of pressure for a Rookie.

I also see Cooper and Thomas as having great potential.

You're taking this too seriously.

Dani = BAE.

That is all.

Mike Thomas needs to approach Torry Holt and see how that man trained his hands. I remember seeing a video of him catching an insane amount of passes from the juggs machine (500 or so) every. single. day.

I remember that too. It was a concentration drill.

This guy showed through his special teams work that he is not only able to get free at the line of scrimmage but he also is very good at using leverage to beat guys vertical. He was a terror as a gunner.

Yes, we all know he had drops this season - and it was a concern coming out of college. Mike was the guy that could make spectacular catches but would drop some passes.

I'm intrigued to see if this 'fresh' offensive staff can get this guy going. He's proven he can get deep, and honestly he's proven he can do it with relative ease.

History shows fans need to be patient with wide receivers. Generally speaking, the light comes on sometime after the rookie year. It's a hard position to transition.

I'm not sure what we have in Thomas, but there are glimpses and... one thing seems certain; he works hard... so whatever we get will be his best. That's all you can ask, really.

Thomas, Cooper, Spruce, and McRoberts all have potential to be good NFL wrs (in different roles) in my eyes. If we can get one or two of them to reach it I'll be very happy. With McVay and a real offensive coaching staff on hand I am very much looking forward to this years training camp/preseason. The preseason games will actually be worth watching this time around. Will be LOTS of competition from talented but raw position pools. Actually legit excited to watch any and all Rams football again.
