Miami Dolphins executive Brian Gaine will interview next week with the St. Louis Rams about their general manager job.
If hired, Gaine would work for Jeff Fisher, who recently picked the Rams' coaching job over the Dolphins.
Gaine worked for the New York Jets from 1999-2004 before spending three seasons as the Assistant Director of Pro Scouting for the Dallas Cowboys. Gaine followed Bill Parcells and Jeff Ireland to the Miami Dolphins in 2008, initially working as the Assistant Director of Player Personnel.
Prior to last year's entry draft, Gaine was promoted to Director of Player Personnel.
In addition to Gaine, the Rams' list of general manager candidates includes Arizona Cardinals Director of Player Personnel Steve Keim, New York Jets Vice President of College Scouting Joey Clinkscales and Atlanta Falcons Director of Player Personnel Les Snead.
Baltimore Ravens personnel executive Eric DeCosta was also on the Rams' wish list, but he's signed a new contract to remain in Baltimore. Tennessee Titans personnel executives Ruston Webster and Lake Dawson were also on the list of candidates and have already received promotions to stay with the Titans.
