HOUSTON -- Over the years, Marshall Faulk has come to regret some of the things he has said about the Patriots in more bitter days. Time heals all wounds, though, and the fact of the matter is that he respects Bill Belichick and the Patriots now.

Ah wait, that’s actually LaDainian Tomlinson. Wrong running back. Faulk is still pissed.

Per WEEI, Faulk went off on the Patriots once again Thursday, saying the Patriots taped St. Louis’ walkthrough ahead of New England’s 20-17 win over Faulk’s Rams. This is something that, though reported in 2008, was retracted and has not since been reported by any major outlet.

Faulk, though, remains convinced.

“[The practice] before the Super Bowl, the guy who worked for the Patriots. If you remember, that was someone mysteriously living in Hawaii, who made his way back to the states and delivered the tapes,” Faulk said. “[Roger] Goodell then watched those tapes and said there wasn’t enough there to deem anything being done.

“Now, I didn’t see what was on the tapes, because we didn’t get to see that. The only thing I could say is that they taped our practice. That was wrong.”

When asked if that was his belief, Faulk responded, “I don’t believe anything. I’m just telling you the facts.”

This is a song Faulk has been singing for years. In 2013, he told Tom E. Curran that the Pats cheated in their Super Bowl win over the Rams.

"Am I over the loss? Yeah, I'm over the loss," Faulk said at the time. "But I'll never be over being cheated out of the Super Bowl. That's a different story."

On Thursday, Faulk said that he is not necessarily a Patriots-basher, but rather someone who discusses what’s happened.

“You can’t criticize facts,” he said. “The only think I’ve criticized [for] is the things they have been penalized for. That’s it. Other than that. what have I been critical of? I think Tom Brady is awesome. I never said he has a weak arm, can’t throw, doesn’t do this. [He] does more with less.”

Who cares if Faulk is getting roasted the Commissioner destroyed the tapes and you don't destroy something unless it contains evidence. That is why I will always root against the Patriots no matter who they are playing and everyone who was involved should burn in hell.

I'm more pissed that they stopped the clock when JR Redmond got tackled before he went out of bounds, that game should have gone OT
But yeah I have no doubts they taped but that isn't why they won. Allowing the DB's to crush the WR was

The Patriots robbed the GSOT's place in history. Another SB win would have rightfully cemented their legacy as best offense ever. Now we have to suffer through ridiculous comparisons with inferior wannabes. F the Pats

Taping signals may be borderline/gray area when it comes to breaking rules.

But

Taping the other team's practice before the game is straight FUCKING cheating in everyone's book. That whole fucking franchise is nothing but a culture of cheating. They lie so much that they believe they are above the rules. They constantly get caught... that's why their penalties (Deflate-Gate) are getting more and more severe. They are a steaming pile of lies and shit.

Be proud of that asterisk cheater fans... You've earned it honestly.

The craziest thing is: the cheating could only take place if the NE employee was allowed to bypass NFL security. The 1919 Black Sox scandal is generally regarded as the biggest official scandal in major team sports. That scandal involved eight White Sox players working with the Chicago Mafia. However, the 2001 NE Tape Gate scandal is much worst because the damn league! itself was involved.

Didn't Mike Martz acknowledged that Goodall called him at that time to give him some song & dance about protecting the integrity of the league. If the NE scandal was officially recognized and prosecuted, I wonder how many fans would have tuned out the NFL and cost them billions?

You can be sure Billecheat is streatching the rules in some way to get an advantage over the Falcons. We know the Patriots are not above cheating, and until they are severley punished for doing so they will continue to find ways to skirt the rules (cheat). Goodell is concerned about the NFL's popularity in decline? This is one of the reasons.

This, official favoritism, bad calls that affect outcome of games, the same commercials over and over and over and over and rule changes taking the physicality out of the game and many other things that pizz me off have brought me almost to the point of shyt-canning the NFL altogether and going fishing on Sundays.

Goodall keeps messing with rule changes and other things to foster some positive legacy for himself when his commissionership is over. However, he will never! live down the ultra negative legacy of the NE scandals he has been involved with, no matter how much he tries to refurbish his resume.

I effin LOVE that Faulk won't let it go. Because the media is full of BS and their groupthink can suck it. The fact is the Patriots cheated us out of our second Super Bowl. And I GUARANTEE they had an edge on other teams they played throughout those playoffs as well, all games they won like the one against the Raiders that went down to the wire.

It's complete and total horse $#!t that this wasn't a bigger story. If the Rams had been a team in NY or LA at that time it would have been, too. So IMO the media needs to take a look in the mirror and having guys like Marshall keepin it real on TV is crucial.

We only know the things they've been caught doing. How much more cheating is still unknown?

Wasn't the taping scandal after the Rams, NE got caught taping the Jets. Then there was a guy that did the taping trying to get protection and wouldn't say anything until guaranteed. He was the one that sent the tapes to Goodell.

The Rams were brought up during this investigation and it was deemed they did indeed tape the practice, especially some of the Red Zone plays.
