Looking at key offseason dates for the Rams

EARTH CITY, Mo. -- The offseason has already begun for the St. Louis Rams and the rest of the teams that failed to qualify for the NFL postseason. As always, there figures to be a lot to sort out in the coming months.
That said, there might be more for the Rams to sort out than just about any team when you consider how many free agents they have and the looming possibility of relocation.
Here's a look at the key offseason dates to watch (courtesy of the NFL):
Tue.-Wed.: Special NFL owners meetings in Houston
Jan. 23: East-West Shrine Game, Tropicana Field, St. Petersburg, Florida
Jan. 24: AFC and NFC Championship Games
Jan. 30: Senior Bowl, Ladd-Peebles Stadium, Mobile, Alabama
Jan. 31: NFL Pro Bowl, Aloha Stadium, Honolulu
Feb. 7: Super Bowl 50
Feb. 8: Waiver system begins
Feb. 16: First day for teams to designate franchise or transition players
Feb. 23-29: Scouting combine, Indianapolis
March 1: 4 p.m. ET deadline for teams to designate franchise or transition players
March 7-9: Clubs are permitted to contact and enter into contract negotiations with the certified agents of players who will become unrestricted free agents
March 9: All 2015 player contracts expire at 4 p.m. ET; free agency and the league business year officially open
March 20-23: Owners meetings, Boca Raton, Florida
April 4: Teams that hired new head coaches can begin offseason workout programs
April 18: Rest of the teams can begin offseason workout programs
April 22: Deadline for restricted free agents to sign offer sheets
April 28-30: NFL draft, Chicago
May 6-9: Teams may elect to hold a three-day rookie minicamp, from Friday through Sunday or Saturday through Monday.
May 13-19: Teams may elect to hold a three-day rookie minicamp, from Friday through Sunday or Saturday through Monday.
May 23-25: Spring league meetings in Charlotte, North Carolina
