After that dismal defeat in Dallas, my sights have wandered into next season. What will the new uniforms look like? Color scheme? I know there have been many mockups, but I figured we'd have to wait until we get info in Mar/Apr, in time for the draft (for our 2 picks).

Then, as I was checking out the latest drone footage from the new stadium, and took a long hard look at the seat colors, one thing became clear. I now know we are going blue, and that the shade is a dark navy, similar to what they're wearing today. No way they go back to royal (like the throwbacks), after forking out the cash for these seats.

Now it's just down to white/grey/yellow/gold or any combo of these. If the stick with the throwback yellow, we're going to look like the Wolverines, and I'm not sure how I feel about that.

F the 49ers this weekend.

That's a plausible assumption, but remember, the Chaahhgahs play there too. A darker blue would be a great compromise color & not interfere with either team's colors too badly. Their helmets are white but at one point were dark blue, close to ours:

Their current 2019 jerseys have dark blue as well.

Since I don't think the yellow bolts are going anywhere soon, and we've had a blue/white scheme in the past, and our (current) helmets are blue/white horns.... I'm starting to think we're headed that way.

Well if we go with white with yellow accent, we will look virtually identical to San Diego, and that's not cool. Notice what I did there?

I love the throwback blue/yellow, but I'm thinking they are going to nuke it altogether and maybe even introduce something completely new as accent to our navy blue and white base. Anything but silver, we'd look like Cowpokes.

I don't think the color of the seat has to be identical to the uniform.

Article 14-2 UNIFORMS and FACILITIES. Teams must keep stadium seat color in sync with uniforms. Same with urinals in owners box. Changing one or both requires 18 years approval by the NFL.

I volunteer to test these facilities under game conditions. I will need at least 8 home games to do so over a minimum of 15 seasons to be certain colors do not clash in the seats or urinals.

I've tried to find an instance where the seats weren't a color at least used as part of the uniform and couldnt find anything. But I also stopped after like four stadiums.

Memories of taking a piss in pre-90's Sun Devil stadium facilities at a football game.

SIR. The seats in the EJD were fucking RED!!! I always thought that was the dumbest thing ever. When the Rams got horrible, and the seats were empty, it was a sea of ugly ass red in that place. How do you make THAT mistake??

90's you say...

Hell, the Citrus Bowl (now known as Camping World) here in O-Town still had giant troughs less than 10 years ago. They were circular... so there were guys pissing around the entire perimeter of these troughs that were positioned in the center of the restrooms. They were large enough that the guys pissing into the middle directly across from you were too far away to get their stream of pee anywhere near you... but I heard some stories about some actual pissing contests were streams of pee made contact with those across from them.

I tell ya... the long troughs were fine... but those round ones at the Citrus Bowl were just a fucked up idea... and I'm telling you, they were still here way less than 10 years ago (maybe less than 5 years ago).

O-Town did a $200 million renovation several years ago. The big joke on local sports radio was wondering if those circular troughs would actually be removed. LOL. Everyone hated them. Well, they are gone now. I can't imagine that people who never had the pleasure of using one will ever get the opportunity for the rest of their days.

We gave up the round troughs for the NFL Pro Bowl. Well worth the trade.

I think you missed the fact that the stadium is actually coated in color-changing nanites. All Stan has to do is open an app on his phone and adjust the the hue.

Maybe we should have an app that when the Rams are playing like crap, you hit a button and their unis look like the Niners.

Yeah the EJD was a special kind of retard tho. I meant current stadiums. They all seem to have seats that somewhat follow team colors.

I'm pretty sure the Coliseum had those when I was a kid. Talk about serious stage fright.

Not to defend the brainiacs involved but IIRR it was built and decided on before anyone knew the Rams would be the team calling it home. I always thought they should have/could have done a change order on that. But yeah... Those red seats always pissed me off.

The Rams left LA because this stadium was built for an NFL expansion team (that would have had red unis), but league awarded the expansion to Jax instead.

Kind of proves my point on cost of replacement since they never changed it, even after GSoT.
