Also, signed Bradley Marquez apparently

In addition, the Lions announced that they have signed WR Bradley Marquez to the practice squad and released CB Adairius Barnes from the practice squad.

Marquez comes to Detroit after spending the past two seasons (2015-16) and the first half of 2017 with the Los Angeles Rams. Currently in his third season, he has logged 16 receptions for 125 yards in 30 career games after originally entering the NFL as an undrafted rookie free agent with the Rams out of Texas Tech.

Lions waive Greg Robinson

The Lions got left tackle Taylor Decker back at practice over a week ago and they said goodbye to a player they acquired in the wake of Decker’s offseason shoulder injury.

The team announced that they have waived tackle Greg Robinson with an injured designation. The move may signal Decker’s return is imminent as he can be added to the 53-man roster at any point. Lions coach Jim Caldwell didn’t offer any hints about how close Decker might be when talking about the tackle earlier this week.

While Decker should have a long run ahead of him in the NFL, Robinson’s future isn’t nearly as certain. The second overall pick of the 2014 draft flopped with the Rams before being traded to the Lions this offseason.

He didn’t do much better with Detroit before picking up the ankle injury that sidelined him the last two games. He was already set to become a free agent this offseason before being dropped by the Lions.

Brian Mihalik started at left tackle in those games, but would move back to the bench if Decker’s ready to make his 2017 debut.

We should sign him.
He has lots of talent and still young. Rams need to think now what to do as Whitworth is getting older.
Come on Les get him signed.

Oops, it's GRob. Rams tri d him before.

In the last 10+ years around this time of the year, each time a player was cut the Rams boards would be full of posts wanting to sign them.
Feels great knowing that that is behind us.

No more retreads needed.
Get the right players and coach them. Get rid of the dead weight quickly once identified

I really was pulling for him when we drafted him. Too bad he never could put it together.

Hard to tell whether he wasn't there between the ears or was tainted by Fisher's coaching staff; most likely the former, the scheme he played in Auburn didn't require any sophisticated blocking assignments

Same here, rooted for him right up to they time they got rid of him. The current staff has undoubtedly been proven right about him.

And it just goes to show you, even experts can be very wrong. Supposedly Boudreau pounded the table for drafting Robinson over other guys that, while less athletic and physically imposing, were far more polished and ready (cough Jake Matthews cough). And Jim Hanifan thought Jason Smith was a can't miss prospect.

Goes to show that O-line evaluations have to be done between based on the scheme played and mental acuity. Not a fan of drafting athletic linemen who are mentally susceptible to blowing up assignments
