I've been following this case as it's unfolded and it's even worse than the Jerry Sandusky stuff, and that's really saying something.

I'm even more dumbfounded that people would help cover this up after what happened at Penn State several years back. There is going to be a shitstorm of a backlash and I hope everyone involved gets prosecuted. Allowing this to go on IMO is nearly as bad as doing it oneself. And convincing little girls and young teenage girls that nothing is wrong with what happened when they come seek help and protection is horrific.

The punishment for the people who cover up and/or ignore this shit never seems to be harsh enough. Being forced to resign from your position falls WELL short of "the punishment fits the crime".

IMO he should just get put to death. Today.

He needs to die a very painful death. That pathetic excuse for a human being disgusts me.

I believe life in prison accomplishes that goal. I prefer these monsters pay for a crime rather than take the easy way out with a death sentence, let them think about what got them there is the best revenge imo. Besides, as strange as it seems, a life sentence is far cheaper for the public than a death sentence which allows many appeals and forces victims to re-live these acts for decades. Shut him in a cage and forget about him. jmo.

I’m sure he’ll be getting lots of special “massages” in the joint. :sadwalk:

When I look at that freak... the 1st thing that comes to my mind is - Who in the fuck hired that guy for a job like that?. You can just look at him and instantly tell that he is not someone you'd trust around children.

Here's to hoping that that piece of shit suffers as much as possible. It won't be enough though.

I know this will never happen but for undisputable cases like this where the guy is guilty beyond a reasonable doubt, he should be taken out the following day and firing squad his ass. No mask. Outside of the trial and a night in jail along with his meal it costs tax payers $200 and be done with it.

The rest of the shits that knew, covered, and excused him to continue doing this should be the ones sent to prison for a minimum of 3 years. Believe me this shit would cease to happen, or at least dramatically reduce it.

These people like Nassar are sick in the head and can never be rehabilitated.

I don’t get the 40-175 years sentence. They are redundant. Does the law makers and judicial system honestly think think there is a difference? They are never going to be free.

Idk, just frustrated.

Ps. Those of you not familiar with the prison system should know more than likely nothing’s going to happen to him in prison. He’ll be PC’d ( protective custody) immediately since he’s a high profile case where he’s with other Chi mo’s. Not impossible but rare for them to do much to him.

I see the point about letting him live a miserable life. But I have to admit I agree with @Corbin about cut and dried cases and I have always felt that way.

Though I disagree on the 3 year prison sentence for people who brushed this off. They should do 7 or more depending on the level of knowledge and cover up. Someone that really let him get away should go to jail for life. People who knew and tried to convince others it wasn't happening should lose their freedom for good.

Not going to end well for this scum bag. Those entrusted with children bear a greater responsibility, and will be judged more harshly.

Horrible case.

But on a side note, it was weird seeing it play out in court from over here in the old country because we don't have cameras in court here (not even for still photos). We can read what judges have said but we don't see it happening live. Can't believe some people are apparently complaining about the conduct of the judge and how mean she was.

Boo f***ing hoo!

Yeah... "Bubba" will make him his "best friend" every day.

Even prisoners have some codes, and molesting children is one they will not tolerate.

When I see stories like this (and the one about the parents of those 13 kids in CA)... I always wonder:
How does the human mind become so distorted? I mean, what bad things could have possibly happened to people like this for them to do such henious deeds?

I can't wrap my mind around how things get so bad for a person... we're all humans... how can the gap be so large from sane people to these animals?

I agree. I believe in forgiveness, and redemption. Even Jeffrey Dahmer, reportedly sought redemption in prison. I don't know how sincere it was. I won't be his ultimate judge. But heinous acts like these guys commit have their consequenses. Dahmer didn't last long in prison.

I think this Nassar's cell mate needs to have a month to month lease, as well. Not looking up for the old chap. He may see the other end of a rectal exam fairly soon.

I don't understand it either.
I do know that compassion is a learned behaviour, though. It's not something that we're born with. Unfortunately, some people were never taught it.
Even knowing that, I still don't feel for anyone that hurts a child.

There are definitely people that are born without that mechanism to learn compassion and caring and this guy is one of them.

LesBaker,
I'll admit I haven't followed this case as closely as other ones but how is it worst than the Sandusky one?
