I feel they chose the wrong person.

Lamar Jackson had a better statistical season but just barely. And they had Derrick Henry to help shoulder the load.

Josh Allen literally carried the team on his shoulders.

He was a better choice for MVP imho.

I think you can make a case for Allen, Jackson, Mahomes, Goff, and Burrow. Maybe even Mayfield. None of those teams achieve what they did without exceptional QB play.

Lamar’s 41 passing and 4 running TD’s (45 TD’s) is pretty insane. I think that ties for 3rd most ever.

His 119.6 rating is pretty damn solid, too.

I have NP if he wins.

I mean if we’re just looking at stats then Jackson should win no questions asked. I also have a bit of an issue giving this award to a quarterback that flops around and tries to trick the refs as much as Josh Allen does. I never see Lamar pull shit like that.

The Ravens seem stuck on underachieving in the Lamar era. Anyone else feel this way?

Maybe it’s just the Reid/Mahomes factor.

When does the voting finish? If Allen leads the Bills back to another SB appearance it’s got to be him, right? Jackson pushes him close regardless

Which would you rather have on your team if you started from scratch.?
Hands down it would be Josh Allen.
He can "make all the throws" AND he is a bull running the ball. He is big and strong like Roman Gabriel was and I like that better than jack rabbit running QBs.

Allen also plays in such a layup division.
Basically starts the season with 5-6 wins
Lamar is amazing and deserves the MVP

Lamar wows but he just doesn't win big games. And it's not like he hasn't had the right teams around him. He did this year and has in previous years.

From the QB perspective winning championships in the NFL usually come down to making big throws in big moments, three or four games in a row against the toughest competition. Only takes one game of not making those throws to put you out. That said I do think he had some bad luck this year, but history doesn't care about details it is about winners. Nobody talks about Jim Kelly, who was a fantastic QB, because he lost the big ones.

I saw a headline that stated Lamar has won his 3rd MVP

I didn't read it and assumed that the vote had been taken.

Stupid me for just looking at the headline. I know better than that.

Last year Zay Flowers screwed the Ravens.
This year it was Mark Andrews.

Lamar did his job both times.

But, Barkley should be MVP, IMO.

One of the QB's jobs is that huddle believing. So I wouldn't be too quick to act like Lamar is some victim of the players around him. He'll win the MVP because he's a fucking QB, but I agree Saquon deserves it.

nah man last year Lamar chocked against KC.

Threw a game killing INT and lost a fumble.

He wasn't without blame against the bills this year either

Had two bad turnovers that he himself lamented.

Penei Sewell should win MVP. I'm not joking.

I wish playoff games counted in the evaluation.

No one should be MVP if they can’t raise their game when it matters most.

That said, both Allen and Jackson are deserving of regular seasons MVP.
