Goff is only 22, just seven starts into his NFL career, but he speaks from experience, specifically the 1-11 season he absorbed as a teenage freshman at Cal.
Goff believes this season was "pretty identical" to that. "And I think the best part about it," he said, "was that we weeded out the people we needed to weed out. We changed the culture in the building, and then we won in the coming years with the same guys that were 1-11 the year before, and that's kind of what I expect to happen here, as well."
Hats off to McVay for being humble and not intimidated to realize how good Bones is and keeping him on the staff.
Amen , hard not too ! Let's roll today ..I wouldn't think there are many cases of new head coaches, especially new first time coaches keeping the previous interim head coach on the staff. Considering how much the players seem to respect Bones, I doubt there are many, if any other hires that would kept him on the staff. Whatever happens in the Atlanta game I feel good about the direction the team is heading.
I can't sleep...Great video . I am fired up today boys ... where them falcons ...
That's really interesting to see. It reminded me of this:

It really shows what a leader Goff is, and he basically predicted the future:
