I think he started coaching the whiners at 3/4 time during the Superbowl

I believe Kyle Shanahan will be a very good Head Coach, but I believe and hope Sean McVay will be a much better Head Coach!

Well boys time to initiate him in with a 49ers ass-whooping Rams style next year!

They gave him a 6 year deal too. Hope the worst for them!

I'm holding Shanny responsible for the super bowl choke job so I'm going to enjoy hating him for the next season (let's be honest, Jed York will probably have fired him by this time next year).

im not worried after watching that choke job plus the niners are devoid of talent outside one or two players

You guys talking about a choke job coming from a guy who orchestrated an offense comparable for a season to the GSOT days. Yeah I'm worried. Hopefully they don't get a QB worth a shit during the draft.

True ... BUT ... this is going to gnaw at him for a while. It's going to be stuck in his head, especially the second guessing about not running the ball when it was 1st and 10 at the 23 yard line ... it's going to mess with his psyche and affect his decision making. Martz never seemed to be quite the same guy after losing Super Bowl 36, and this was far more of an epic choke than that. Shanny didn't even have to contend with a highly biased officiating crew that let the P*ts commit pass interference at will as they did against the Rams. Simply put, he blew it.

As Kevin Costner said in that golf movie (can't remember the title now), you define the moment, or it defines you. Unfortunately for Shanahan, the latter occurred on Sunday night.

Plus, I think, Shanahan isn't going to get the best assistants to come to the 49ers!!

- OR - it could motivate him.

Martz had a lot of FO issues brewing and his ego was historic. Shanahan seems to have a somewhat similar situation... hope it turns out similarly.

Like some others, there is a tinge of nervous about that hire... but, he has a LOT of work to do before they become competitive again.

I can't wait to see what staff he builds. The pickins are slim.

I can't wait for him to fall flat on his face. His ego and Jed York's ego are going to be clashing from draft day on.

Coach Smoach.

It takes talent and lots of it to have an effective scheme.

Btw - How did that Genius OC Linehan do when he was a head coach.

Yea.

Although I'm not worried about Shanahan turning the 49ers into a juggernaut league wide, the Rams have lost 3 straight games to them with Kelly and Tomsula as HC.
