Kupp's Pass to Stafford

The more I think about that play, the more I think it was originally for OBJ.

We've tried a WR pass from Kupp before and his pass was terrible, but OBJ's pass to Akers was beautiful earlier this year.

Kupp threw the ball to Stafford way too early and it was not close, as if they didn't practice it much.

After OBJ went down and we were desperate, I think McVay said fuck it, let's try it with Kupp.

I wonder if Kupp threw it high knowing that Stafford would have gotten drilled if he caught that.

I thought that too - if he had caught it, he would've gotten destroyed.

Kupp wasn't under pressure. He had space to probably run for the first down. There was only one linebacker he had to beat. I think he saw Stafford and was off target.

I watched it a few more times today....Kupp probably could have just ran for the first down.

But yeah, for the best that he missed the past.

I enjoyed Kupp’s comment after the game. With Stafford next to him, he said “I guess the rapport only works one way.”
