She throws beer at mouthy whiner fans.
Like if that ISN'T what you want from your QBs wife, I dunno what is!!
Honestly it's a breath of fresh air for me. I love McVay and I liked Jared Goff. But their background as 49er fans has ALWAYS irritated me beyond what's reasonable.
Every time they beat us, a voice in the back of my head says "There it is. These guys don't know how to HATE them enough."
Every time McVay downplays their rivalry, every time the Rams players echo the coach's sentiment.
Every time the 49ers seem EXTRA prepared. EXTRA violent. EXTRA motivated. That's what you do to vs your nemesis. That's a rivalry. It's obvious to me that Shanahan and McVay have a different approach to these games. Shanny might not play it up in interviews, but his true intentions are evident in these outcomes. While the Rams build to win the division, the 9ers build to beat us. While we prepare like it's any other game, they prepare to curb stomp the Rams confidence. Every consecutive W is more motivation for the next.
It seems like their strategy, at least in part, is to figure out how to beat the Rams and they'll be at least good enough to contend vs everyone else. They got into the playoffs and now the road to the SB goes through the one team they are literally built to beat. When McVay was sticking to his "treat every game the same" script, the 9ers were putting in overtime.... and it shows.
I do understand McVays philosophy, and it's smart.... but smart isn't always enough. Careful isn't always the way. Fortune favors the bold. The Rams braintrust says they welcome catalysts for chaos so they can continue to grow and develop and handle tough stretches and big games. Well, if staying the course isn't working the last 6 times, maybe its okay to introduce some change.
I say listen to Demarco Farr. Let him explain "9ers Week". Hate is poison, but it's also powerful and like many prescription and OTC drugs, too much can cause problems but the right dose can heal what ails you.
