I think we can beat those inmates!

It's a common saying and the dolt couldn't get it right.

It's "can't let the inmates run the asylum" not "can't let the inmates run the prison".

It means that you can't let crazy people run the place. It has nothing to do with race. Nothing at all.

Who said that? A game announcer?

I know. All of society is fragile now. Richard Sherman practically came out of his 'gina jeans.

The owner of the Texans butchered the common saying at the owners meetings, and said "you can't let the inmates run the prison."

ESPN magazine caught it and printed it in an article.

My buddy Tim Keown writes for them, I'd love to hear the meetings they had in editing when they contemplated printing that quote. :fuelfire:

I feel bad for the Owner. He's right, just a bad choice of metaphors.

The owner of the Texans.

Society isn't fragile, no more than it ever has been. I don't know what Sherman said, and wouldn't care anyway because his social commentary is base and frankly he loves a mic directly in front of his mouth more than a porn star likes a dick in that same location.

And the NFL can do away with this issue by doing what the NBA did many, many years ago.

It's amazing to me that these dumb asses have all become billionaires and are so tone deaf the simplest things escape them.

No he said exactly what he said and he meant it. That’s the way a lot of those owners feel. You know prison inmates can only get paid like 1.25 an hr for all the work they do and the warden profits off all that work that’s in direct correlation with how the nfl operates, how share cropping operated.
