I was sure someone would start a reach-fest on these QBs. Not sure how to transfer the funny money but with the reset you just wiped me out!

Maybe in our wager, I honestly can't remember what it was but I was still dead wrong. He still went Day 2. Which is not something I expected at all. So you were probably closer to being right than I was.

All I know is, is that he will have a chance to come in and back up Foles. How he matures as a quarterback will be interesting to see, I wasn't a big fan of Mannion but, I support my franchise and now I support Mannion

what was the original bet, and between who?

Found it. Bet was that he wouldn't go in the first two rounds. If he did, Merlin wins. If he doesn't, I win. But frankly, I think Merlin was closer to right in the end than I was. Because he went in the third(Merlin had him in the 2nd) and that was way ahead of where I had him.

But did either of you think he'd go to the Rams? :)

Well Jrry pretty much guaranteed he'd be a Ram with all his "of all the QB available, Mannion is the one we dont want" (paraphrasing). Its a karma kind of thing. I feel like I did the same thing when Shotty left and said "Anyone but Cignetti"....:)

Mannion was my 6th rated QB (Behind Mariota, Winston, Petty, Grayson and Hundley) before the Draft but after watching more Videoclips (And, I do realize these are all Highlights!) and reading more on him I have really started to like him and the pick much better!

Ok so I been thinking about this for a bit since the draft and we had the same views one QB's this draft as well but do you think we really wanted to draft Grayson with our 2nd 3rd rd. pick and we figured he'd be there or do you think we REALLY had Mannion graded higher? OFC the FO isn't going to say " we had so and so graded higher and thought the demand wasn't there when we could draft him and wanted to take him with our 2nd number 3, but Mannion is the guy runner up and he's the guy we liked next ....etc etc" I wish I could of really known if we would of taken Grayson instead of Mannion if he was there. Have you thought about that?

I don't know. Part of me hopes so and part of me hopes not.(the part of me that hopes not is the part hoping they knew or saw something I didn't which led them to favor Mannion)

I gotta think they knew Grayson would go before our second third.

Given Snead's post draft comments about them liking tall QBs and last year's comments about the QBs not being able to see Tavon, I'd guess that Mannion was the 3rd QB on the Rams draft board just like Chris Mortensen said on draft day.

That confirms what I had been thinking. Davis missed Austin on so many crossers that I figured he had to have had trouble seeing him over the OL.

Quarterback can just be so difficult to scout with an amateur eye I really didn't know what to make of Mannion, tbh. Clearly inconsistent but all the intangibles in the world and made the most NFL throws out of anybody I watched outside of Winston. Somebody was going to fall in love with him, I'm fine with it being us, he has a chance imo.
