Lots of players to look at here, I have 8, To start with! And Who Better to start with than #88; TORY HOLT!
Holt.jpg

I know, he changed to #81, but he came into the league and went to the SB his 1st year as #88!

Dennard averaged 16.2 YPR in his 6 years with the Rams, Not too shabby!!

Now we have our Current #88 Lance Kendricks

We have had only one winning season since Holt changed his number, we had 3 when he was 88. Clearly the number change by Holt doomed our franchise.

I'm not too sure of that. We started losing players too. London Fletcher, Ricky Proehl, just to name two! Plus Coach Vermeil left, which I, for one, wish he hadn't!

That was the best play ever. Jawing at each other down the sidelines without so much as a thought about who's chasing them.

I was going to post this picture too, but I thought it would be confusing because of Hakim wearing #81 and Holt in #88 running right along side of him!

The minute I saw the title I knew Holt was gonna be the first guy posted.

I say he counts, if they wore the number they wore the number.

The blue helmet thing was because the card company did not have licensing rights to use NFL insignia in their pictures. You see a lot of this in cards from that era.

Season opener as I recall on MNF was the debut of Dennis Miller (as a member along with Al Michaels and Dan Fouts) didn't he make some off the wall Star Trek comment depicting this very scene?

Well wait...talk about "off the wall"

Thanks!! for some reason the Links work better for me. When ever someone post just the video, like you did, for some reason, they always come in chopped up for me, IF they come from stlouisrams.com! go figure!! I don't have the same problem with others!!

Although stats aren't the end-all, be-all in proving a mans value to a team. I do believe they are a really nice Historical point to look at, and they do seem to determine weather a man gets into the Hall of Fame or not So here's some for you!

DB-Norb Hecker-1951-'53 ( he also played LS!)
Norb_Hecker1.jpg

In his 3 seasons with the team he played in 64 games, and had 11 INT's/for 215 yards w/a long of 50 yrds./ also played in 2 Playoff games and had 1 INT/ and 6 Rec. for 60 yards and a TD.

NEXT:
DE/LB-Sam Williams-1059
Sam_Williams1.jpg
He was a Rams 24th round pick in the 1956 Draft, I don't know why he didn't play until 1959!
He had No Stats to really speak of, but he did score 2 points on a Safety in 1959.

NEXT:
TE-Pat Curran-1969-'74
Pat Curran1.jpg
In his 6 seasons with us he played in 66 games and had 9 Rec. for 83 Yards and a TD/ he also rushed 25 times for 92 yards/ a 3.7 aver./ he also had 14 KR's for 191 yards/ and played in 4 playoff games, but only had 1 reception Total.

NEXT UP The Great!
WR-Preston Dennard-1978-'83
Dennard2.jpg
In his 6 seasons with the team he put up some nice stats! to say the least!!
In 80 games he gad 189 Rec. for 3066 yards/a 16.2 av./21 TD's/a long of 64 Yards/he rushed 12 times for 81 Yds./and in 8 Playoff games he had 18 rec./314 yds/a 17.4 av/and 3 TD's. He also played good "D" when he had to, he had 4 FR's and by the way, his career Rec. average is "15.8" Not too Bad!

Next:
TE-Pat Carter-1989-95 ( he did spend '94 w/Houston)
carter_pat2.jpg

In his 6 seasons he Played in 91 games and was Targeted 65 times and had 50 Rec./525 Yards/a 10.5 av./and 6 TD's.

NEXT:
WR-Eddie Kennison-1996-'98
eddie-kennison1.jpg
He was the Rams 1st round pick in '96, 18th over-all, He also came back to play for us in 2008.
In 48 games he had 96 Rec/1562 Yards/a 16.3 av./10 TD's/w/a long of 70 Yards/he also played in 2 playoff games and Had 3 Rec/ for 50 yards. In 1996 Eddie was named "Player of the week" twice, Wk. #11 & 16.
