I think a team like the Dolphins, in full on tank mode for 2019, make sense in the 2nd. They get a player with top 15 talent and don't really care about the lack of production this year.Don't think he falls much past the ens of the 2nd even with the complete ACL tear. He could be back playing a bit part in a rotation by mid November if everything goes well with rehab etc. That would be a cheap pickup for a very good player.
Easily worth a 3rd.
Doubt he last though.
I'm not sure how I would feel about drafting a guy at 31 wouldn't be ready for next year and now has a higher likelihood to morph into Dominic Easley with Spontaneous Knee Combustion Syndrome. Maybe that's an extreme take, but he doesn't fill me with hope.
The part that bothers me is the video of him repeatedly punching a woman while she was on the ground.
No thanks. This guy is a POS. I would rather not h ave to root for him as a Ram, or for the other shoe to drop from a domestic violence charge. I'm surprised that a few of you here are clamoring for the guy.

I would do it! Rams only have five DL'ers under contract currently. Brockers will be a UFA next year @ this time.Do you remember when we drafted Todd Gurley coming off a torn ACL? I'd say that panned out quite well. Easley had persistent knee issues in college. Simmons missed a total of ONE game in his college career, and he missed that game due to a suspension from an arrest that occurred when he was in high school. One torn ACL is not a big deal.
As for him being ready for next year, he's a special player. He would be the #1 DT in quite a few draft classes. He's been compared to Suh. He's worth the risk. You don't typically get a top 10 talent at #31. If we have to wait half a season or a season for him to play, I'm perfectly fine with that.

The proper medical term is "Sam Bradford" ... e.g., "his knee went all Sam Bradford on him."
Trust me. I know these things.
Jrry said it. Simmons has been a model citizen after that, and he exhibited a great deal of remorse and owned up to what he did, unlike certain other college stars (such as Joe Mixon).
