Steven Jackson (hamstring) had a good week of practice and is considered probable for Sunday's game at Arizona. The Falcons have a solid backup in Jacquizz Rodgers, so don't expect Jackson to get a silly amount of work right away. Still, he's worth considering in Week 8. Forget Jason Snelling (ankle), however; he's been ruled out.

New England Patriots wide receiver Danny Amendola declared Friday that he's "feeling good and ready to go," Sunday against the Miami Dolphins two weeks after suffering a concussion against theNew Orleans Saints.

Amendola didn't say he would definitely play, but told New England reporters, via ESPN Boston, he's passed the NFL concussion testing protocol. Amendola is also dealing with a nagging groin injury.

"I've done pretty much everything they've asked me to do. I'm healthy and I'm ready to play," Amendola told reporters. "I'm sure it's the same thing if you get [in] a car accident. It's all independent doctors. The NFL does a great job of helping guys out with that sort of thing. It's been a big deal in the past three years; you just have to go through [the process] and listen to what they're telling you."

That's seems to be the norm. Miss 7 games and then put on a good 2nd half to boost their value for next year.

I think Jackson knows his body. We've seen him deal with leg injuries before and while he always seems to come back "a tad too early to be at full strength"... he seems to know the line.

Amendola... sadly it's just a matter of time before he goes down again with something. And being a Patriot... I find myself in such conflict. I want to root for him, but I can't. Sorry Danny.

Yeah, being associated with New England is like being associated with green kryptonite to Rammers. :disappoint:

They return and Brandon Gibson is probably done for the year. Got carted off.

Last I saw SJax had a mind boggling 8 carries for 2 yards at the half :meh:

Amendolla had 15 yards off 3 catches in his return.

So far SJax has 23 carries for 79 yards this season(including today), and 77 of those came in the first game.

Amendola has 19 receptions for 179 yards this season, 104 of those coming in the first game.

SJ...

10 carries

2yds

SJ...

11 carries

6yds

He's not getting the ball right now.

I knew better to draft Amendola in fantasy football. Bleh, hopefully he brings it on for the playoff season. All though I did pick up Marvin Jones this week to plug in for TY Hilton's bye... I think he earned a starting gig. :)

But yeah, SJ was horrible. He is big but he has to have holes to hit in stride or he does that lovely dancing thing we all remember. Falcons have no o-line. I have a feeling Jackson will be a free agent again this offseason as Falcons try to get a little younger now that the aging veteran course failed to get a super bowl.

Feel bad for him. He goes to a team on paper expected to go deep into the playoffs. Now his former team has a better record...
