And.....they beat them for the third time that year.I don't wanna be a Debbie Downer, but you know what other memories 1999 evokes?
The Jags were 14-2 that year -- their only losses were to the Titans. Titans came to their place for the AFC championship game... and stomped them. With a physical brand of ball control football.
Let's hope THAT part of 1999 doesn't come back.
Well...fuck that!I don't wanna be a Debbie Downer, but you know what other memories 1999 evokes?

Rams were killing them 17-0, and then stupid shit started happening, including the 9ers game tying drive at end of 4th quarter.9ers are the last team that physically mismatches us. Rams have either grown enough as a team to dunk those fucks, or they haven't. I don't think they're gonna have a home field advantage in LA. But it's still better than being in Green Bay with Rodgers. So even with a poor matchup we're in good shape here given that it's an NFC Championship level game.
We gotta beat Garoppolo. Think about that a moment. I just feel like our defense can get this done. Beat the QB. Remove his run game and take away his early reads. This is a hell of a lot easier a plan than beating Rodgers.
Offensively just stay balanced and play field position. How well our offense handles that defensive front is probably the single biggest factor in who will win.
