Which is why I wouldn't mind trading down. Unless some miracle happens and Cooper/White are still on the board. Which I'm giving a 12% chance of actually happening. Trade down between 15-20, collect an extra 2nd or 3rd.
I can't tell if we should trade down and stockpile second round players or stay put and draft one of the only real first round players in the draft. Probably the latter, I guess.
Depends on the draft, and the position.
I wouldn't agree with his statement if he meant it that way. At particular positions, this year, or every year, I would agree. If I look at it as starting caliber players in general, it's still a stretch. He was referring to this year's draft class.

Would you agree with his statement?
I'd agree talking OL, or CB.Off the top of my head, minus Gurley's knee injury, perhaps forcing him to be selected lower than he probably would be normally, I believe that I agree with Brandt.
If this is true why the hell would any team allow us to trade down if all the players are the same? Hopefully we get a team that gets puppy dog eyes for someone! lolListening to Sirius NFL Radio and he believes that the player a team gets at #12-15 overall is the same player (rating wise) a team can get at #50 overall.

OK Memphis, we have a trade. you give me your #15 and #16, and I'll give you my #50 and #51.

A team might allow us to trade down because they want a blue chip player and past 12 in the draft, they're not gonna get one. Now, the question I ask myself is, is it worth trading down from 10 and missing a blue chip player to gain extra picks for positions of need....
Now that is a very interesting question that will be answered very soon!<3 it!A team might allow us to trade down because they want a blue chip player and past 12 in the draft, they're not gonna get one.
