Some interference in the communication, but Whitworth is the type of guy that will be great on and off the field. The fact that he takes care of his body and does so many cardiovascular activities will serve him well for longevity.
Whitworth had six offers the Rams & Vikings were close Whitworth was a big fan of McVay, he met him through Jay Gruden and that is what sold him, that and Southern California does not hurt compared to Minnesota. Nothing against Minneapolis, it's a great city, but God doesn't make little green apples and doesn't snow in Minneapolis in the winter time.

Whitworth, with his skill set, leadership qualities, professionalism and approach to the game is something Fisher never realized was needed for a young team. That he fielded the youngest team in the NFL 3 years running and an OL that constantly got "schooled" was what got him fired, and the fist thing McSnead addressed.

Whitworth is going to have a huge impact on the Rams OL, not just because of his play, but what he brings in leadership, knowledge of the game and work ethic, that also can be said for Sullivan at C.

Two HUGE additions that will bring more wins.

Like he he said in Cinncy he mentored there 2 tackles. Wants the opportunity to change in culiture in LA. Likes what McVay brings as a coach.
A chance to get better every day.
--Jared Goff needs to get more fired up from what it sounds like though. Is he to laid back ??

There's nothing wrong with being laid back off the field as long as you are a ferocious tiger on it. Former Horns super stud DT, Merlin Olsen, may have been the gentlest giant off the field, but he was clearly one of the most disruptive defenders on it as witnessed by his 14 Pro Bowl nominations.

Fair enough . Fearsome Four some had a special bond .

When the Refs took Jared Goff off the field against Seattle . I think his toughness & true character would have come out. Waiting to see how much improvement he shiwsnthis season. Supporting cast & coaching should make a huge difference in it's self. Then you throw in his first full off season ,& starting reps .

The draft should be fun in itself. I don't think there will be to many head scratchers. Last year was solid after Jared with Cooper,Higbee,Hemmingway,& Thomas .Those guys should be vastly improved as well. Looks like The Rams may need a TE ,even more so than a WR ?
High picks might mean even better players at the position .

Man I'd love to see him hit it big with the Rams being a surprise team this year. I know that's unlikely, but it would be cool to see the guy get a look in his last couple years at the playoffs before he punches out.

Great guy though, and very happy with the signing.

Every picture I see of Whitworth he looks like a big kid.

I really like the Sullivan signing as well.

The thing is we need a plan B in case he gets injured.

That was the big problem with the Scott Wells signing.
No plan B.

I would still like to see them pick up a Center in round 4.

This draft is deep at Center.

We also need to start training Sullivan's back up ASAP.
