The only Rams player ruled out for Sunday’s game in Buffalo is blocking tight end Mike McNeill. McNeill wasn’t able to practice all week with a thigh injury.
After being listed as doubtful each of the past two weeks, wide receiver Danny Amendola is questionable for the game. He’s been dealing with a foot injury. After doing some light work Wednesday, Amendola was a limited participant in practice Thursday and Friday. The injury kept Amendola out of last week’s win over the San Francisco 49ers, and by NFL definition, the questionable designation means Amendola has a 50/50 chance of playing this weekend.
The prognosis is better for the rest of the injured Rams. Center Scott Wells, who is ailing from a knee injury, was rested Wednesday and Thursday but was a full participant in Friday’s practice. He’s probable for Sunday’s game.
So is running back Steven Jackson. Jackson seems to have been listed on nearly every injury report this season but the workhorse back has yet to miss a start. Jackson, listed with a foot injury, missed Wednesday’s practice but was a full participant thereafter.
Linebacker Mario Haggan has had terrible luck on the injury front this year, but even his prospects for Sunday. Haggan missed three games earlier in the season with a thigh injury. After two games back, Haggan suffered an elbow injury against the New York Jets that has kept him out the past two weeks. Haggan didn’t practice Wednesday but was limited Thursday and a full participant Friday, and he’s officially questionable for the game.
The Bills’ injury report reads like a short novel, and there are some interesting names that appear on the list. It was already known the Bills would be without starting center Eric Wood, but starting right defensive end Mark Anderson is also out due to a knee injury.
Two more starters, leading wide receiver Stevie Johnson and cornerback Aaron Williams, are questionable for the game. Johnson is dealing with a hamstring injury, while Williams has a knee injury. Talented return man Leodis McKelvin is also questionable with a back injury.
A handful of other Bills starters and playmakers are probable after being full participants in practice all week. The Rams should expect the likes of running back C.J. Spiller, defensive end Mario Williams, tight end Scott Chandler, safety Jairus Byrd and defensive tackle Marcell Dareus to be on the field come game time.
