...any one of five NFC teams and MAYBE three AFC teams can win the Super Bowl.

1) Rams - just play relatively cleanly and they can and will beat anyone.
2) Philly - if they continue to crank up their defense and get just enough from Hurts.
3) Seattle - might be playing at home with a bye. Still, Darnold....
4) SF - they might be playing at home throughout. But can that defense hold up?
5) Chicago - turnovers and magical endings cannot last; defense suspect, but that run game at home is tough

1) NE - been playing very consistently and don't beat themselves. Too young though?
2) Houston - that defense, with a little offense, is very dangerous.
3) Jax - look out, they are the team no one will want to play.

Thoughts?

They already beat them in the opener but Houston is really the only team on that list that concerns me. Their defense is much improved since the opener. Their WR core is very good as well.

Just 1 and 2 on that list for the NFC.

We are going to make SERIOUS noise in the playoffs. We have lost because of fluky special teams plays, and last night because of Humphries. Sure the defense didn't play well, Stafford was bad - but if Alaric just plays, we win that game.

It took insane events for us to lose on last second plays - and by this I literally mean the last play of the entire game - to the Seahawks, Niners and Eagles. We handled the Niners the other game, and even though Seattle fans want to say they should have won in LA because they had so many yards, the truth is we never trailed in that game and led most of it by two possessions, IN SPITE of Stafford playing poorly.

He has had three bad games this year....but playoff Matt is coming. Its out of his system.

With Jackson, Dotson, Adams and Lake back we are going to ROLL. And when we get our hands on the Seahawks again, there won't be any doubt who the better team is.

I am done holding back. This is our year, and its a special season. Yep we didn't win the division, and yes Stafford may have thrown away the MVP last night. I don't care. We might get the 6 seed and go to Philly. I don't care.

We might just get a path of past/present Rams demons....

Panthers (this season, 2003 playoffs)
Eagles
Seahawks
Patriots

Bring them all on. This team is going to put it all together and EXPLODE on our opponents come playoff time.

While nothing this team does shocks me, like a 1st round exit, I also would not be surprised to see them blow the doors off everyone in the playoffs
So I'll stick with them and root for the latter

If you're not peaking this time of year then it's usually an early exit. That's the reality unfortunately. Even getting players back for the wildcard round you can't just turn it on again. I'll be rooting for the good guys as always, but it's not trending in the right direction. They'll need some luck to go their way to make it out of the wildcard round then maybe they can get some MO back heading into the divisional round. Who knows.

D.J. Humphries gave me Rod Jones flashbacks. Oh, the horror!!!
The good news is, they now know they can't rely on him as a backup. Right now the line should be from left to right AJ, Avila, Shelton, Dotson, McClendon. Dedich is a capable backup to either guard spot. If AJ goes down I think they should move McClendon to LT and put Havenstein back in at RT.

Yes having Hav back should be huge, as is getting Alaric and hopefully Dotson back.

If that is true, this team has bigger issues than going from the 1 seed to 6th seed in two weeks…
