I'm concerned with McVay mental/emotional health

I think his game ending emotional release had to do with beating the sea chickens after they tried and successfully baited us into some stupid reactions.

I got the feeling that was aimed right at the gum chewing dickhead across the field.

I'm sure that McVay is releasing his emotions all the time with his girlfriend.

He's a professional, he know's how to act. It's no different from how I acted when I was in my dress uniform being paraded around Washington/the White House and when I was in my duty uniform laughing at my buddy hold up a chunk of a guy pointing out how he had a tiny dick.

Damn sure the POTUS didn't need to hear that story.

Look, these last 3 games have been stressful for us fans, can you imagine how it was for the players and coaches?

He’ll be fine.

I loved that reaction actually LOVED it. growing up a Rams fan in Seattle my hate for the Hags knows no bounds. I was jacked by that win and even more jacked by that reaction

I'd say he agitated for completely logical reasons.

Giving up 38 ppg the last two games plus a lot of dumb penalties - no matter how good your offense is, that recipe is not going to get you through the playoffs without a loss.

Think back to Goff, another guy who doesn't show much rah rah emotions....how fired up he was after the first down to win the first Seattle game.
The competition for the NFCWest was Seattle.
Your first goal on the way to a title is always to win your division.
They really want to beat Seattle.

He did say in his presser that his mother wasn't too happy about his language at the end of the game...
 
There is almost nothing that gets under a coaches skin like stupid penaltys, which in this case almost lost us the game.

I feel like Mcvay felt that Pete the Magic Dragon almost outsmarted him by using this technique, and here we were at the end of the game Russell Wilson Driving down the field to steal the game from us.

Mcvay was pissed. This was for the division and our run for the #1 seed. Mcvay knew it.

And there is such irritation and difficulty trying to stop Wilson at the end of games. Its the one rule when playing Wilson. Take him out early so he doesn't get a chance at the end.

I'm sure he just said "Let's go to the mountain Fowler" It's a reference to the pre Chiefs training at Colorado
 
Way over thinking it. McVay is a professional in front of the cameras and just like us when he's away from them. Nothing to see here.

That's what I worry about.

I don't want McVay to win his multiple Super Bowls with his second team after burning out here. I don't want him to burn out at all.

I think that McVay is clearly aware of his shortcomings and recognizes the need to "have a life". He's even talked I think with Rich Eisen about the need to have balance in his life which he admitted is hard for him. I could easily see him lose himself in a Super Bowl run.

All I can do as a fan is to keep him in my thoughts and prayers... and hope he makes a little love and gets to watch a movie and take a walk once in awhile.

What I mean by this is he and his staff have put the Rams in a great position all game and the Fowler and AD penalty almost ripped it out of his hands and that really blasts him I am sure. He expects more. But when you get childlike players like Fowler this is what you get. AD should know better but he didn't either. Hopefully this is a one off and all learn from this situation. But just so you know every team is going to be provoking Saffold, AD, Fowler etc. We need to grow up. That imo is why this happened.

Too young? You've never seen a 16 year old kid in Japan before his college exams. That stress makes defusing a nuclear bomb seem like playing piano in a bar on a Tuesday near the end of the month...

I think he'll be fine, but I also think he hasn't found the balance he needs to succeed long term. I think he can find it, but nothing's guaranteed in life.
