Not gonna rehash the entire game, but a few things DID stand out to me.

Goff is unflappable. Truly as if ice water runs through his veins. Sure, it’s been written many times before, heck, that’s why I was particularity focusing on it. Maybe we should consider a nickname for him such as “Ice”? No one knows yet just how high Goff’s ceiling may be.

Ebu had an even better game than I thought at the time, and that’s saying something. Made many non-highlight plays that still had positive effect on plays made by others. I’m even slightly more cautiously optimistic about Ebu after watching this game. I think his confidence kept improving and he was just playmaking using his talents rather than thinking so much. What a huge difference.

Jury is still out on Fowler for me. Big upgrade over Longacre, but is that enough to earn an extension? He impacts on a few plays, but is washed out and loses contain on many others. He’s gotta step it up within this system to earn an extension, IMO.

Suh is a disappointment. There, I said it. The man has either lost his fastball OR has lost the necessary passion and desire. Saw too many “loafs”. Not even close to dominating anyone. I encourage all to re-watch his play if you have it recorded or watch his future play and see if you don’t agree. No way he’s earning his $14 million this year.

Not seeing Brockers making big plays, either. He’s no AD, but he’s had his moments in the past, so why not this year? Wade’s scheming? Injury? A “hold AD’s beer” mentality? Geez...

Our O is still lethal, even without Kupp. And Goff clearly trusts all of his receivers. I’m so proud of the way Higbee, Everett, and Reynolds have stepped up. Like a proud grampa , kinda. Lol.

If Wade can get a handle on our scoring D, this team is capable of beating anybody. If not, I still see us making the NFC Championship game against the Saints. Our O and ST are THAT good.

I came away with this: on that night GOff was the best QB on the field. If they play again this year, I won't expect that result. Goff's calmness, poise and elite accuracy have been consistent in every game, except in Denver.....he is a top 5 QB this year. That, in itself, is enough for me to enjoy RamBall.

Why wouldn't you expect Goff to be the best qb on the field if they meet again this year. What would change.

I was happy that Goff got his first come from behind game winning TD pass (maybe drive?) of his career.

I've always hated the QB stat of game winning drives, but it does have some merit - and Goff has largely struggled with that in his career thus far, so I was very happy to see that Monday.

I sort of feel like the team has struggled with that more than Goff. He tried to drag the team into a comeback in the playoffs and only woods held on to the ball, and the defense couldn't stop the run. 1st Seahawk game last year, that amazing throw to Higbee and the ball that Kupp couldn't hang onto. There were other games as well where Goff just needed a little help from his team. I also think the Saints game, even though they failed to complete the comeback really gave the team the confidence that they could comeback on anybody. Under McVay the team is still growing and of course Goff is making huge strides as well.

I believe his first 4th quarter comeback came last year in Tennessee, although he should have had one against Seattle if not for the dropped pass.

I truly believe like SF, Pitt, Dallas and now NE Goff will guide this team into the next dynasty. Outside of KC most teams are treading water in the future years to come. The top old guard QBs are thinking out and their teams feel like they are on the slow decline except LAC. Rams and the Chief's are accerating maybe Dallas on with a couple more drafts.

I believe Cleveland and Houston are also building nice little rosters.

This just me & being observant .....I believe he has a cronic shoulder issue. I know he is not showing up on the injury list but I see something in his play that says he is not fully healthy. When the season concludes it would not surprise me if he has a shoulder surgery. We will see ................

Mahommes is growing as we speak, a lot!--while Goff is settlin in. BOth will grow for the next 3- years a lot.....but Mahommes has a 'big' system to grow into. Goff is protected by his system a bit more. Mahommes has some skills that are similar to Elway and Favre, and I think that 'multiplies' in its own way.

GOff knew exactly what to do at all times---mostly, while Mahommes was lost many times out there. Gof is very, very special. Mahommes has a lot to figure out, and as he does he will rise. He is 1 year behind Goff (and maybe more). All opinion mates.

Mahomes is similar to Favre and Elway, I agree. However, neither of those guys held a candle to Peyton Manning. IMO, Goff is the next Manning. Favre was always fun to watch. Mahomes will always be fun to watch. However, when push comes to shove, I want the guy who isn't playing hero ball out there. Goff plays smart, efficient football. It may not be as fun, but smart and methodical wins games.

.

Always give me the Joe Montana type over the Brett Favre type. I'm pretty sure Favre holds a record that will never be broken, Most interceptions in a career.

Wade’s scheming?
Why not scheme mentioned with Suh? Since "both" Brockers and Suh haven't been as productive, maybe it's the scheming affecting both?

I'm sure that Suh will have an outstanding game this weekend ;) I'm sure that the D-line is being schemed to give AD a bit more of a free reign...

I agree with you on Goff though, he sure is he Ice King, doesn't seem to get flustered, even when he's taken a huge sack or made an Int due to poor judgement.

Yea that is pretty much how I view Goff as well.

Goff just isn't that guy that looks to create outside the pocket like some of these other guys do. Mahomes, Favre, these type of guys are looking to make big plays when the play breaks down. Sometimes too early. Goff usually throws it away unless there is a quick safe option out there.

But Goff doesn't have to do a lot of off schedule stuff because he is precision on each play..It looks methodical and that is one way to describe it. But that word has a negative connotation usually. When the ball placement is pin point accurate on the short medium and deep passes and the reads are quick and correct, and the pocket movement is right, then the QB play looks methodical or mechanical or easy.

These Maverick QB's that run around and throw picks into coverage because they are trying to be Hero's are unpolished and really undisciplined. They will cost their team games. Not to mention the risk of injury, Don't get me started on the short careers and lack of Super Bowls of the "running QB's".

I heard Michael Robinson on NFL Network talking about the new wave of running QB's that are going to take over the NFL. Then every one agree with him. Ignorance. Look at the History of the NFL Super Bowl winning QB's and tell me how many were running QB's vs pocket passers. Nothing wrong with making plays scambling now and then. But the NFL is owned by QB's that can beat a defense from the pocket.

I've rewatched the game maybe 5 times now HAHA. Time off work with holidays etc.

Ebu did make more plays then just the big ones. Really hoping a light turned on but my money is not on that. Who knows.

Brockers and Suh are just not pass rushers especially not like Donald. And there was a lot of passing by the Chiefs.

Fowler, Not as good a game in this one as vs Seattle. Agree Jury still out but his speed and sometimes getting to the QB is better than what we were getting. I think you feel his presence as well. So a QB may not roll out or escape to his side because he shows speed and quickness out there.

But yea Goff looked dominating at times. If Reynolds and Cooks helped him out on the toe tap and deep ball, then Goff comes away with 7 TD's and 0 Int in that game. Insane.

If I get that from Goff every week, i’m a happy dude.

Dominating.

Brockers doesn’t look 100% to me so I’m not down on him.

I see most of your post regarding Goff start out with praise but always has a statement that seems to show that you have a lack of confidence in Goff. You are more able to accept that talent is the reason other QBs are good and will get better, but are quick to point out something negative about Goff like he is protected by the scheme or that he has pretty much gotten as good as he can get. That is why I asked the question, because I see a QB that while he has plenty to work on, he is being relied on by his team and coach to make plays as much as any QB in the league and I would argue, he has nobody with the type of talent tyreke hill has or kelsey and Gurley and hunt are a wash. And dont tell me Andy Reid doesn't have anything to do with scheming guys open. So I just dont understand your reluctance to buy in to your QB.
