I think losing Fiske yesterday proved to be a bigger deal most would think but do you think the presence of Aaron Donald would have maybe taken away at least one of the long runs from Saquon or Hurts? Yesterday, 65% of the Eagles rushing yardage came on those three runs. Outside of those three plays, the Rams did a pretty good job of holding their own. As we all know, the first game vs the Eagles had similar catastrophic breakdowns. Then again, if AD stays, do we even draft Fiske and Verse? When I saw him up in the suite during the sackfest against the Vikings, I couldn't help but think he missed being out there with the guys. I seriously doubt he thought this team would get this close to the Super Bowl. I mean, we were two games away and could have easily beat Philly had we not had some dumb mistakes. I know it's wishful thinking but imagine what this defense could be with him in there.

Frankly, I don't think he would've made a big difference. Offense was again the issue.
Those big runs were to the outside and I think we generated enough pressure. He obviously would've helped, not hurt. But I don't think he would've put us over the top.

Before AD announced his retirement he was trending to be a passing down specialist on the rush. Rams would have done with him like they ended up doing with Fiske. Which means they wouldn't have needed to move up for Fiske.
Translation is they would have been a little better on pass downs, and had more picks. But they would need to replace 3T this offseason. So it's six one way half dozen the other I'd say.
