Man I gotta tell you guys the little woman has been making these fries lately that are killin me (and blowing up my waist line!). She basically slices up some potatoes, ices them, oils them, seasons them with paprika & cayenne pepper, and bakes them in the oven for oh idk about 45 or so.

Holy Jesus they're good. Or maybe I'm just stoned idk. :p

We have one of those air fryers and it’s like a French fry machine at times. Sounds delicious.

I fry mine in a deep fryer with peanut oil. Peanut oil really makes a difference in the taste.

Recently I found a more expensive peanut oil called Roasted Peanut Oil. Just smelling that hot oil in the fryer by itself is a treat. I don't know how a fry could taste better than one fried in this oil. You could probably fry some 3 day old roadkill in this stuff and it would taste amazing.

There's a restaurant across the street from my work that makes their fries in duck fat. It's delicious. Best fries I've tasted in my life.

The air fryers are awesome. I never thought I would use one, and I find myself using it all the time. Mine is a pressure cooker as well. It's the Ninja Foodie. I know. The name sucks, but you can do a lot of things in it.

Sometimes you just have to deep fry those things though, and get them crunchy outside and soft on the inside.

Thanks for the heads up though, @Merlin. I will be trying that out.

I heard that boiling to the point you're "scared they're going to break apart." before roasting them will make them super crunchy, but I haven't attempted that. Maybe one day.
