FISHER: (Having Steven Jackson)
I think anytime you are developing a young quarterback, the key to that is to be able to hand the football off. Obviously Steven has proven he can do that year after year. The staff that’s in place now has gone back and evaluated his play and his production. He has still got a lot of carries left.
FISHER: (On Sam Bradford)
I think that I stand with most of the personnel people and coaches in the league that evaluated him; he’s an outstanding person, he’s very, very talented athletically and he’s got a great future. He’s a very, very good player and we have to do whatever we can to surround him with good people.
FISHER: (On Brandon Lloyd)
We have a number of UFAs that we are interested in keeping and he would be one of them.
FISHER: If we’re in a situation where we’ve got another member club that has expressed an interest and the deal is good, it could be done before draft day, you just don’t know.
FISHEROn how far down he’d be willing to trade)
It really depends on your philosophy, depends on your board and depends on the players. There’s some good players that can help us in a lot of different positions well into the draft so I think you could say if you fall too low you still have the opportunity to come back up.

Coach Jeff Fisher has never selected an offensive lineman in the first round, but said Friday that nobody should read into that. “That’s just the way it happened,” he said. “That doesn’t mean we won’t take an offensive lineman that high.”
FISHER: (On never drafting an offensive lineman in the first round with the Titans)
We just felt like over the years, we could get those guys in rounds 2, 3 or 4 and develop them and we did so. We’ve got an outstanding offensive line coach with us as well and we share some of the same philosophies. That doesn’t mean we won’t take an offensive lineman that high, though.
"[Kalil] has all the (footwork) and skill set that you're looking for," said Vikings general manager Rick Spielman. "He has the arm length. He has the nasty demeanor. The finish — when you watch him on tape — to finish run blocks. I feel he's going to be a very good left tackle in this league as he grows in the position and moves forward." ...True, in Jeff Fisher's 16 full seasons as head coach at Tennessee, the Titans never selected an offensive tackle in the first round. Then again, the Titans had an anchor at left tackle for 13 seasons in Brad Hopkins, including Fisher's first 11 seasons as head coach.
Clayton Said Blackmon reminds him of andre Johnson. He was on the Bernie Show and Bernie asked him who does Blackmon remind him of he said well he's no Megatron but he's a better version of Crabtree and more on the level of andre Johnson. Always fights for the ball even when injured and he is the type of guy you need to team up with Bradford
With Griffin III measuring well, it only increases the odds that teams will throw the farm at the Rams for the number two pick, especially when considering the new team-friendly rookie wage scale and the success of 2011 rookie QB's Cam Newton of the Carolina Panthers and Andy Dalton of the Cincinnati Bengals.

On tackle Jason Smith’s concussion problem: Fisher said, “There’s no doubt he will be able to return and play. That’s behind him.”
Snead, however, did say, “With any player, you want reliability. With the issues he’s had, that is a concern.”.
Mayock: DT is the deepest position in this draft. He has 5 first rounders; others have a couple more, so it's 5-7. Brockers is a top 10 pick. Poe reminds him of Ngata. He sees 2nd and 3rd rounders too.
Irvin: 23 receivers at the combine last year. Now, 47.
On the team’s roster, Snead said, “We have lots of needs. But, the previous guys did a nice job cleaning this place up leaving some young pillars that we can build around.”
