Has it surprised any of you at the virtual disappearance of our young rookie? I thought I was seeing signs of an emergence, but now, not so sure. Curious how we acquire tools and then don’t find a way to employ them. I will and still give coach McVay the benefit of a doubt, and I’m trying to understand our offensive gurus mind, but he is the genius, and I am not..what say you? Are you surprised by Henderson’s disappearance? Is he hurt??

I think he came in for one play in the ravens game and lined up in the wrong place so maybe its not knowing the play book. it is pretty late in the season to not know the plays so could be that is the problem

No cap space to address issues. Not really worried about the loss of 1st round picks. They will be mid round picks anyway which usually don't amount to anything special.

I think Gurley grew tired of losing carries and goaline touches and eventually voiced his opinion he wants the ball more. i can show some video evidence. Problem is we can’t run block and he can’t cut or break tackles like he used to. So we have gone into 3 and out land.

Henderson lost playing time in this new world.

Surprised McVay didn't find ways to use Henderson more. I thought he would return some KOs and be used on Jet Sweeps if he wasn't used much in the backfield. He showed some flashes against then Whiners. Too bad we won't know what McVay is thinking. Rams going more with TG was the way to go but, it doesn't matter with poor blocking.

I don't know that I would call it a disappearance as I really thought he'd be more involved than he has been for the entire season.

We can all admit that there is something that seems just off about this team. We have too much talent to be performing as we at this level. As some have pointed out we have a couple of balls bounce our way and we are sitting in the mix with the very competitive NFC. Even with that something just seems off about this team.

We can point fingers here and there and everywhere. . . And in most situations it is justified. I feel like most of the players have owned that and have said that they aren't executing to their potential - coaches too.

Ebb and Flow was something Mcvay went into this season wanting to harness. He has work to do in this area and you can see it sprinkled throughout the year.

Ebb and Flow. We all say run the ball! Get Gurley going and help the oline and Goff out.

Yet in a game like the Ravens game the Ebb and Flow was dictated in a way that really forced Rams to not be able to hand the ball off. Tried to run it on our first series, didn't get anywhere, then Ravens just marched right down - using their running game albeit - and scored a TD. I don't remember how much we were down after the first quarter but it was clear it was over after the Ravens second drive.

The Ebb and Flow of the game dictated that we couldn't choose to run the ball because we were behind so quickly.

Yes we needed a better game plan and better effort. But it isn't like the Ravens are a weak team. Right now they look like a snow ball rolling down a snowy mountain. They have the "I think we ain't done yet" energy that we had last year (Peters)

Henderson has showed some burst and tackle breaking ability. But I suppose there are only so many touches for the backs in this offense and he's 3rd on the depth chart. With the playoffs likely being out of reach, I wouldn't mind seeing more of him the rest of the way. I think they really need to build something for next year. Right now they are so stagnant I can't imagine they have any confidence in the offense anymore.

Henderson has ability that does not work with a horrid OLine. He has burst and speed but he needs a decent hole and for it to be where it is supposed to be. I wasn't impressed with the pick, but once I saw him run successfully I got a bit excited about his potential. But I'm like a broken record here. Snead put the chicken before the egg. Why draft a running back that can't be a physical presence, busting his own path, when your offensive line can't block? That pick may have been better if used on an Olinemen. Trading back and taking Rapp would have been better if used on an Olineman in round 1.

I'm not a football coach but I doubted Noteboom and Allen last year and harped OLine need before the draft and after it. If I could see it why can't Snead and Kromer see it? It is my biggest concern next to McVay's stubbornness with his offense.

Fewer offensive plays...more pass attempts, is how it feels.

If he can’t pass pro, he’s not on the field.

Thus far I have not seen any RB talent or skills that would warrant the utilization of a very valuable second day 3rd round selection on him. If I was responsible for this selection I would be highly upset.

From all I could read on Henderson he was tailor made for McVay's offense.

So far I like John Kelly more, I’ve seen more and I haven’t seen enough of Henderson to see why he is better...

I remember when we thought we might have our version of Kamara with Henderson. Atleast a poor man's version. Personally I don't think we've seen enough of him to draw any conclusions. I also put some of the blame on McVay. It would be nice to see him in the screen game more then we have. McVay doesn't really build his scheme around players strengths. It's more on the players to fit with McVay which was fine in prior seasons. Everett is another player who deserves more opportunities as well IMO.

This was my thought. Just aren't running the ball as much this season considering they are playing catch up most games

Predictability paired with terrible blocking and limited opportunities make for a terrible rushing attack for someone like Gurley, do you really expect a rookie to come in and be successful?

Gurley is averaging 4.1 ypc...is that the definition of a “bad” running game? The best defenses turn you into a one dimensional team...our coach seems to oblige those defenses too quickly by looking at a 7 point deficit as a reason to abandon the run.

He showed us he’s a rookie that will put one on the ground against the 9ers fer gosh sakes!

Didn't Gurley fumble twice or more already this season?
I'm just saying Henderson has not been given enough consecutive playing time to show what he has. Coming in and out for one series now and then is not a real chance to show your stuff.
