There are 6 newbies as there are most years.
Hafley, Kubiak, Minter, Monken, Brady and Mike LaFleur.

Five head coaches have amassed 100 wins or more (including postseason) all with winning percentages .600 or better.
Reid, Payton, John Harbaugh, McCarthy and McVay.

Seven others have winning percentages north of .600
Sirianni, Matt LaFleur, Jim Harbaugh, Kevin O'Connell, DeMeco Ryans, MacDonald, Coen and Johnson, the last 2 having coached just 1 year.

Four have winning percentages over .500 but under .600
Shanahan, Quinn, Vrabel and Campbell

Nine head coaches are below .500
Bowles, Taylor, Steichen, Shottenheimer, Canales, Moore, Glenn, Stefanski, Saleh
Those last 2 secured HC jobs this past off season.
We gotta believe Bowles, Taylor, Steichen and Glenn are among those on the "hot seat".
Ironically, Quinn and Sirianni are included with those 4 according to some talking heads.

Here are the top 12 winning percentages

1. MacDonald (24-10; 3-0) 27-10 .730
2. *Coen (13-4; 0-1) 13-5 .722
3. Sirianni (59-26; 6-4) 65-30 .684
4. Jim Harbaugh (66-31-1; 5-5) 71-36-1 .662
5. Reid (279-157-1; 28-17) 307-174-1 .638
6. Johnson (11-6; 1-1) 12-7 .631
7. *Matt LaFleur (76-40-1; 3-6) 79-46-1 .631
8. Payton (184-108; 10-10) 194-118 .622
9. McVay (92-57; 10-6) 102-63 .618
10. Ryans (32-19; 3-3) 35-22 .614
11. *O'Connell (43-25; 0-2) 43-27 .614
12. John Harbaugh (180-113; 13-11) 193-124 .609

Red = SB Winner

Note: The McVay tree has 3 guys on that list. A fourth, Zac Taylor has a losing record (53-63-1) but is 5-2 in the postseason.

There were 4 head coaches with 100 or more wins, fired or "mutually parted" after last season, with 1 getting hired quickly.
McDermott (106-58; .646), Tomlin (201-126-2; .614), Carroll (184-145-1; .559) and
John Harbaugh (193-124; .609)

Of the new coaches Minter and Brady are in the best situation with former MVP quarterbacks. Kubiak, Monken and LaFleur have their work cut out for them with rosters in need of an overhaul. Kubiak has the better quarterback situation. Hafley I'm not sure. Miami has some pieces but the quarterback situation is iffy. Malik Willis has shown flashes but a small sample size.

McVay is gonna pass 100 regular season wins. And possibly a second Superbowl championship. Only Reid on that list has more with 3 titles. With the way McVay, Snead and the organization operates, those 3 titles are within reach for McVay.

Never realized how much I don't like Coach MacDonald. Talk about beginners luck!

Glenn has to be one of the most overrated Coaches that have come around in a long time. First off, his units in New Orleans were never that good as the defensive backs coach. Dan Campbell brings him to Detroit and everyone knows that the Lions Achilles heel under Glenn was always their defense, but somehow because of the success of the Lions, Glenn gets interviews.

Glenn then comes out and says, he only wants to coach the New York Jets and everyone thinks that is so great, but nobody else was going to hire him anyway. Glenn being a former Jet makes Woody Johnson, who should go back to the United Kingdom hires Glenn because he had too much malt vinegar in the UK.

Glenn's team is unorganized in practice and Glenn cannot manage a game and fired of his assistants in order to keep the job for about 6 to 7 games in 2026. Once Glenn is fired, they will hire Frank Reich as interim HC and the Jets again will be one of the worst teams in the NFL in 2026, however, they are close to improving because their General Manager Darren Mougey is solid and will have plenty of draft capital for the 2027 NFL draft.

Mougey came from Denver, so IMO, Woody Johnson will give Mougey more power including hiring the next Head Coach. With the Jets about to draft a QB in 2027, Mougey will hire Davis Webb, who is currently the OC now in Denver and the Jets will draft and I expect the Jets to draft the best QB and IMO, that will be Dante Moore of Oregon. Green in college and now donning the Gotham Green of the New York Jets with Davis Webb as his Head Coach and the headline after the hiring of Webb.....Shaking Out The Cobwebs in New York.

Wow - can you tell what the winning lottery numbers are too?
