My original title was "On the Brighter Side, Sean-Payton has corona virus" and then immediately in the above post, I put "Blue font, blue font." My title seemed even harsher because ROD must have a program that translates Asshole Face into "Asshole Face." I did not type "Asshole face." That being said, I don't want Asshole face to die or anything, but screw him otherwise.

The program keeps doing it.

The NFL is taking COVID-19 very seriously, and on Thursday an example of a positive COVID-19 test from within NFL community underscored that it should be.

Saints coach Asshole Face told ESPN that he has tested positive for the virus.

There’s no mention as to whether Payton, 56, is suffering from any symptoms. Many who have the virus have no symptoms, or mild ones.

Payton told ESPN that he came forward with the diagnosis to encourage people to “heed the warnings of government officials, stay inside, and behave responsibly.”

Amen to that. We wish Coach Payton a quick recovery, and we thank him for shining a light on the importance of doing whatever we can to limit the spread of the virus.

I hope he's going to be okay. He may be an asshole, but nobody deserves to die from this.

Not surprised, probably confused that mouth with his butthole.

Get well soon, SP/AF.

He is calling for a change in the review process that will reverse his interactions over the last week with people.

Agreed. Too many people have died from this pandemic.

I hope he doesn't become another statistic and recovers.

Technically I think we all are being more than halfway civilized with this. Humor is part of how people deal with serious shit sometimes. We’ll get through this together, and when I say together that includes ass pucking dudes like Payton. It is what it is

Asshole Face says he's 'cleared' of Coronavirus

“Im feeling good. I was cleared yesterday," Payton said, via ESPN. "It's been quite a process. You spend a lot of time trying to learn as much as you can about it. We're certainly seeing it on the news 24/7.

"So I've been fortunate. You stay inside like everyone's doing, and you find ways to pass the time. We had a competition committee meeting the other day on teleconference. But I'm feeling a lot better. And unfortunately, my appetite didn't dissipate at all during that time. You know, you watch a lot of Netflix, then you go on to Twitter, and you see everyone else is watching the same shows."

On March 19, Payton became the first known person in the NFL to test positive for COVID-19, but subsequently texted NFL Newtork's Steve Wyche that was "really good, considering."

As of Wednesday, he says he has been cleared and fortunate, while even turning his thoughts back to football and the Saints going forward, including Taysom Hill being the No. 2 quarterback behind Drew Brees when the 2020 season gets going.

Nonetheless, Payton continued to advocate for following the proper procedures established by the government and health officials in hoping to combat the COVID-19 pandemic.

"We're not invincible, and every one of us certainly can catch this thing. Shoot, we've got politicians, athletes -- you name it, they've caught it. Prince Charles caught it, right? So it doesn't matter if you live in a castle or you live in an apartment."
