He says Saffold (shoulder) is doing better, and that team is still doing tests on him.
On conference call w/St. Louis media, Jeff Fisher says LB Daren Bates has sprained MCL, will be sidelined for a couple weeks.
So Rams dodged a bullet there. Bates won't need surgery. MCLs can take about a month to heal, but that's better than missing season.
Rams had day off today in LA area; will have walk-through and look at game film Sunday. First practice w/Cowboys is Monday.
